At the press conference to introduce the event and announce the main sponsor on the morning of February 10, Mr. Ngo Le Bang, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation (HFF), said: "The Ho Chi Minh City Children's Football Tournament - Yamaha Cup 2025 is an event organized by the Vietnam - Japan Football Star Sports Training Center (VJSS) in coordination with HFF and the main sponsor Yamaha Motor Vietnam for the first time, to promote the football movement for children and teenagers in the city and at the same time create opportunities for football teams to show their talents and practice their skills."
The tournament organizers and sponsors signed souvenirs
With the participation of 32 teams, this children's football playground promises to bring exciting matches and at the same time create opportunities and conditions for exchange and connection between football teams in the city. 32 participating teams will be divided into 8 qualifying groups, competing in a round-robin in each group to calculate points. From the knock-out stage, the teams will compete in a knockout match to advance to the quarter-finals, semi-finals as well as compete for the championship.
In the context of the lack of football playgrounds for school-age children, and the lack of organization and professionalism, the tournament brought a total of 76 matches, creating conditions for 480 "young" players to participate, increasing the level of physical training as well as football, determining the champion of the football-loving elementary school age children in Ho Chi Minh City.
The organizers give symbolic competition uniforms to the teams.
The Organizing Committee and sponsor Yamaha Motor Vietnam will present many meaningful gifts to schools with teams participating in the tournament, such as competition balls, training equipment and competition support funds. Before the tournament, all schools received support with training sessions for the teams to help them have the best preparation.
