Mr. Dang Hong Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training (GD&T), Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Examination Steering Committee, and Chairman of the Examination Council, stated: From the beginning of 2026, the Department of Education and Training advised the Provincial Examination Steering Committee to issue a plan for organizing the examination, clearly assigning responsibilities to each agency and unit; directing a comprehensive review of all conditions for organizing the examination, from professional work, facilities, and human resources to plans for ensuring security, safety, health, electricity, communication, and support for candidates. The department's working groups directly inspected each examination site, thoroughly reviewing each step to promptly supplement and improve, ensuring no passive response to any possible situation.
According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, the 2026 high school graduation exam will have 10,104 registered candidates across the province, an increase of nearly 100 candidates compared to 2025, including more than 9,300 12th-grade students. To organize the exam, the Department of Education and Training has established an Examination Council along with specialized committees serving the exam, including: the Secretariat, the Exam Paper Printing and Duplication Committee, the Exam Paper Transportation and Delivery Committee, the Invigilation Committee, the Exam Marking Committee, the Exam Grading Committee, and the Review Committee. Approximately 2,300 officials, teachers, staff, police officers, and medical personnel will be mobilized to carry out tasks related to the exam.

The entire province has 21 examination centers. The arrangement of these centers is calculated based on the number of candidates, available facilities, and geographical characteristics. Educational institutions with a small number of students are combined with neighboring schools to organize joint examination centers in order to use resources efficiently. Independent candidates and students in continuing education programs are assigned to take the exam alongside 12th-grade students at suitable examination centers, both to facilitate the candidates and to ensure unified and scientific organization.
Along with completing the school year program and the review plan for 12th-grade students, schools have focused on reviewing exam registration files, cross-checking data, and preparing the necessary conditions for the exam. For example, at Tu Doan High School, all 137 12th-grade students have completed their exam registration; the files have been checked and cross-checked multiple times to ensure accuracy. The school has also arranged six official examination rooms and one reserve examination room to facilitate the organization of the exam.

Besides facilities and personnel, security and safety are given special attention. The electrical system, fire safety, medical services, exam paper storage areas, and backup examination rooms are all inspected and supplemented according to regulations. Specific contingency plans for storms, heatwaves, power outages, or other unforeseen situations have also been developed to ensure the exam takes place safely.
A new feature in this year's exam security measures is that 100% of exam centers in the province are equipped with handheld security scanners. These devices are used to assist security personnel in checking and detecting high-tech devices and signal transmitting/receiving devices concealed on the person or belongings of candidates before they enter the examination area. The widespread equipping of these devices contributes to improving the effectiveness of preventing high-tech cheating and ensuring the exam is conducted seriously and in accordance with regulations.
Hoang Van Thu High School, the examination center, has 660 candidates from various schools, along with independent candidates. Ms. Nong Thuy Quynh, the school's Vice Principal, stated: "At this point, all conditions for the exam have been fully prepared. The school has arranged 29 examination rooms and 1 reserve room; completed the review of facilities, the surveillance camera system, and developed plans to ensure security and safety, as well as support for students from disadvantaged backgrounds and those living far away, so that they can participate in the exam with peace of mind."
According to the Department of Education and Training, as of now, all 21 examination centers in the province have completed the necessary preparations for organizing the exam. From facilities, personnel, exam security systems, security plans, medical services, and electricity, to professional training, data review, and candidate support, everything has been prepared comprehensively. With contingency plans developed for each specific situation, the education sector and coordinating forces are ready for the 2026 High School Graduation Examination, ensuring that the exam takes place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.
