On December 7th, the final match of the 2025 Quang Ninh Province Women's Ethnic Minority Football Tournament - VTV5 Cup concluded a brilliant season amidst the enthusiastic support of the people of Binh Lieu and a large audience from many provinces and cities.

According to Thanh Niên reporters, thousands of people arrived early and flocked to the Húc Động football field (Bình Liêu commune), bringing with them excitement and pride, creating a festive atmosphere in this otherwise peaceful mountainous region.

Among the supporters, a group of over 100 people from Lao Cai stood out, traveling over 500 km through the night to cheer on the Lam Thuong team. They carried banners, flags, and their love and support for the team with a special story: the mother and daughter duo, Nong Thi Yeu (40 years old) and goalkeeper Nong Thi Phuong (17 years old), both wearing the team's jerseys and taking to the field.

The final match between Mong Duong (Quang Ninh) and Lam Thuong (Lao Cai) attracted nearly 100,000 viewers via livestream, becoming one of the most prominent amateur sports events on digital platforms at the time. With a convincing 4-1 victory, Lam Thuong won the championship cup and four important awards: Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Miss Tournament, and the Sports Family award.

Not only on the field, but the whole of Binh Lieu has been buzzing with excitement these past few days. Students flocked to cheer on their teachers, who are part of the team with the highest average age in the tournament. On the field, that spirit remains as strong as when they are in the classroom: passionate, persistent, and full of inspiration.

From December 3rd to 7th, 15 matches featuring 130 players from various ethnic groups such as San Chi, Dao Thanh Y, Tay, Cao Lan, etc., delivered over 70 spectacular goals. The oldest player was nearly 60, the youngest just 16, but all shared a warrior spirit: falling and getting back up, playing with all their might, and always focusing on the solidarity of their highland compatriots.

The tournament, organized by VTV5 in collaboration with the Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Binh Lieu commune, aimed to improve the spiritual lives and encourage women in the highlands to boldly participate in community activities. The image of the players wearing traditional costumes created a special impression, spreading national pride and promoting Binh Lieu culture to a wide audience across the country.

The Lam Thuong players, thanks to their superiority in many aspects, scored the opening goal.
