Seeing their happy family, we felt so happy and admired their beautiful love story. Pointing to a newly taken photo album documenting her pregnancy, Ms. Quy's eyes lit up with joy as she spoke of her husband. They attended the same high school but didn't know each other until he was a third-year student at the Logistics Academy and she was a student at Hanoi University of Technology. Through a mutual friend, they met. Their first meeting was in the sweltering heat. He anxiously waited outside the school gate, his shirt soaked with sweat, but his girlfriend was nowhere to be seen. He briefly considered leaving when he saw a petite girl approaching from afar, smiling brightly and offering a sincere greeting and apology. The oppressive heat seemed to vanish for Hoan.

While chatting at a cafe, they found they clicked. Even more special was when Hoàn learned that his girlfriend was late for their date – she had stopped to help someone suffering from sunstroke while on her way home. This made Hoàn even more fond of her. After a few months of getting to know each other, Hoàn decided to confess his love, and she accepted. From then on, they shared and encouraged each other through their difficulties, joys, and sorrows in their studies and training.

Quy is skillful and a great cook, so every weekend, she always makes time to go to the market early, choose fresh ingredients to prepare many delicious dishes, and then take the bus to her boyfriend's place so they can both enjoy them. During holidays and festivals, due to the nature of their professions, they choose a more relaxed approach, just wanting to be together, holding hands tightly, and feeling the peaceful moments after stressful study hours. At those times, Quy would jokingly say, "If we can learn something as difficult as learning, then all the difficulties ahead are just challenges. I believe we can do it."

After a long period of getting to know each other, in 2024, Cong Hoan and Kim Quy officially tied the knot. They both realized that happiness is a process, not a destination. In their small home, the young couple gathers love and joy together. The diary entries written for their soon-to-be-born daughter reflect the firm handwriting of the young officer: “My dear daughter, do you know, I am a soldier, accustomed to days away from home, accustomed to discipline and marching, but never before has my heart been so tender and longed to hold you in my arms as it is now. You come from the long-lasting love of your parents. I am so happy that you have come into this world . I only hope you grow up safe, kind, and live fully in the loving embrace of your parents and everyone.”
