Within the framework of the program, many meaningful activities were brought by officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 2 to the people in localities of Hue City, such as: Offering incense and flowers at the Martyrs' Memorial; organizing the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands", propagating the Law on Coast Guard of Vietnam and the law on drug prevention and control, regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; giving gifts to fishermen's families and ethnic minority families in difficult circumstances; propagating and mobilizing people, especially ethnic minorities in the area, to eliminate backward customs, preserve and promote national cultural identity, build united villages, help each other to develop the economy ...

On this occasion, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command presented 100 gifts to policy families, fishermen and ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances (50 policy households, fishermen of Phong Quang ward and 50 ethnic minority households of Long Quang commune); presented 50 photos of Uncle Ho, 100 national flags and distributed 200 leaflets to disseminate legal knowledge, instructions on communication when needed for rescue at sea and reporting crimes... to the people and fishermen.

Colonel Tran Hong Que, Deputy Political Commissar of CSB Region 2, said: Through the organization of the program "CSB accompanies fishermen" and "CSB with ethnic and religious compatriots" in some localities in Hue City, the unit wishes to continue to contribute to raising people's awareness and responsibility for the task of managing and protecting sovereignty over seas and islands and complying with the law at sea. Thereby, contributing to strengthening the bond between the army and the people, supporting and helping fishermen to confidently go out to sea, stick to the sea, develop the economy associated with building a national defense posture and a people's security posture at sea...

It is known that the mass mobilization program of CSB Region 2 in Hue City this time is also one of the practical activities to welcome the 6th Congress of the Vietnam CSB Party Committee, term 2025-2030. Through the program, it aims to promote the combined strength in propaganda, dissemination, education, and law for the people; foster love for the homeland, country, and the sea and islands of the Fatherland among all classes of people; at the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, soldiers, Party committees, authorities, and local socio-political organizations on mass mobilization work. Thereby, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the relationship of solidarity between the army and the people, creating a combined strength to firmly protect the sovereignty, security and safety in the seas and islands of the Fatherland.
