The program of the Gratitude Fair for Meritorious People combined with medical examination and gift giving for over 1,700 meritorious people and relatives of those who contributed to the revolution in Dong Khoi commune. It is known that the Gratitude Fair for Meritorious People has 10 "free" booths, serving people with necessities such as rice, instant noodles, milk, fish sauce, soy sauce... and 3 medical examination booths of doctors.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - former Politburo member, former National Assembly Chairwoman and Dr. Nguyen Thi Hai Lien - representative of the Love Journey Fund and the Vietnam Military Medical Association presented free medical examination, screening, consultation and medicine packages along with gifts to 1,700 meritorious people and policy families in Dong Khoi commune, with a total value of 1.8 billion VND. The delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Office presented 170 health insurance cards to students in Dong Khoi commune.
The program also gave gifts and scholarships to 50 students from families with preferential policies, each scholarship worth 1 million VND. Ben Tre Lottery Company donated 6,000 notebooks to schools in the commune.
At the program, the representative of the Department of Home Affairs announced the decision to award the Government's emulation flag to the collective of people and cadres of Dinh Thuy commune, Mo Cay Nam district, Vinh Long province for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" in the period 2021 - 2025.
