Green Banh Chung Charity Program

On the morning of January 17, at Dong Gung Bus Station (Van Lam village, Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu city), the Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourist Area Management Board organized the charity program "Ten thousand green banh chung" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.

At the program, officers and employees of the Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area Management Board, accompanying units, members of volunteer clubs and hundreds of people from Ninh Hai commune together wrapped 10,000 banh chung to give to disadvantaged households in and outside the province.

To organize the program, the Management Board of the tourist area prepared 4 tons of sticky rice, 100kg of green beans, 800kg of pork, dong leaves, raw materials, 60 pots to cook banh chung of 100 liters many days in advance. The funding for organizing the charity activities was socialized from businesses, club members, and philanthropists in the province. The program also attracted the attention of many foreign tourists.

This is the second time the charity Chung cake wrapping program has been organized at Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area on a large scale. In addition to giving Chung cake on the occasion of the traditional Tet holiday of the nation, the Management Board of the Tourist Area coordinated with the local government to give meaningful gifts to households in difficult circumstances, aiming for a peaceful and good new year. Thereby showing concern, the spirit of mutual love, mutual assistance for those in difficult circumstances. At the same time, continuing, maintaining and promoting the culture, image, and traditional activities of the Vietnamese people during each Tet holiday, especially the custom of making Chung cake.
