"In the past, we often had to organize large events but finding a location was quite difficult. There were only a few options such as the Hanoi Opera House, My Dinh National Stadium, and the Hoan Kiem Lake area. In particular, for exhibition activities, the space for exhibitions in Hanoi is often very limited, without large exhibition rooms or displays.

Regarding the Exhibition of National Achievements: 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness, the first important event held at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong said that the Exhibition has the participation of all ministries, branches, provinces, cities and many different industries.
"It can be said that this is an unprecedented event, another record is the implementation time. In just over a month, the preparation work for the Exhibition has been basically completed. Up to now, all the booths have been shaped, decorated and are entering the equipment installation stage," said Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong.
The exhibition brings together 34 provinces and cities, 28 ministries and sectors, 94 private enterprises, 12 state-owned enterprises with a total of about 180 industries and more than 230 booths.
The exhibition is designed in a modern style, each province, city, ministry and sector has its own space, reflecting the length of history and current outstanding achievements. The booths apply new technologies such as touch screens, mapping, multimedia projections, etc. to create visual and vivid effects.

An important highlight is the cultural industrial park, introducing 12 fields: Game shows, fashion, performing arts, cinema, handicrafts, tourism... There is a 400m² stage for performances, a 200-seat cinema with excellent Vietnamese films, and many exchange activities with artists. In addition, there are also experiential spaces such as virtual dressing rooms, and a display area for creative cultural products.
The outdoor area has exhibition areas of the Army, Police, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong… creating large, impressive spaces; a culinary area with specialties of 34 provinces and cities participating in the exhibition.
Along with the exhibition activities are a series of art programs and seminars. Typical examples include: YAN Beatfest (August 18-19) attracting tens of thousands of spectators; the program "Vietnam in me" of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (August 26); special art programs organized by Ho Chi Minh City (August 29), Hanoi (August 31), Thua Thien Hue (September 2), the Ministry of Public Security (September 3) and many other localities and ministries.
Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong said that with elaborate preparation and comprehensive scale, the Exhibition not only ensures aesthetics and rich content, but also has high political and communication effectiveness, promising to become a cultural highlight on the occasion of National Day, September 2.
