36 Vietnamese boxers to participate in the 2025 Southeast Asian Kurash Championship

36 top Vietnamese kurash fighters participated in the 2nd Southeast Asian Championship held in Indonesia.

Vietnam's kurash players will compete in the Southeast Asian Championship and Southeast Asian Beach Championship in Indonesia.

The coaching staff of the Vietnamese kurash team said that the boxers participating in the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship are the best faces focusing on the goal of winning the highest medal. Along with the above tournament, the boxers will participate in the first Southeast Asian Beach Championship in 2025.

The 2025 Southeast Asian Kurash Championship and Southeast Asian Beach Championship will take place from August 28 to September 1 in Indonesia. Among the 36 Vietnamese kurash fighters competing this time, Ho Chi Minh City Sports will contribute 2 players: Le Cong Hoang Hai and Nguyen Quoc Dung.

In addition, some players who are considered promising have achieved high results such as To Thi Trang, Do Thu Ha, Nguyen Thi Hai Yen, Nguyen Thi Huong, Chu Duc Dat, Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Nhung, Le Huynh Tuong Vi, Cao Minh Nghia, Nguyen Xuan Phi, Danh Hao, Le Duc Dong, Nguyen Hung, Le Thi Thanh Truc, Le Thi Tuong Van, Le Ngoc Tuong Van, Ha Vi Hoa...

The tournament will feature teams from Indonesia (host), Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Myanmar. The organizers will conduct a draw for each event on August 28. In addition to competing in the championship category, athletes from each country will participate in the youth event group at the tournament.

Before participating in the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship, the Vietnamese kurash team competed in the 2025 Asian Championship and ranked second with 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 3 bronze medals.
