In his opening speech, Mr. Le Ngoc Dinh, Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Association emphasized: This event held at World EXPO 2025 Osaka, Japan is a very meaningful activity, not only contributing to promoting Vietnamese culture to the Japanese people, but also to many international friends, showing the beauty of cultural exchange between the two countries, is an opportunity to open up new directions of cooperation in the future, and also contributes to practically promoting the friendly cooperation relationship between Vietnam - Japan.
The art program with the participation of more than 80 artists and dancers from Vietnam and Japan, was elaborately staged to introduce to the audience the quintessence of traditional and contemporary Vietnamese music . Soprano artist Trang Bui showed off her diverse voice when bringing to the Expo 2025 audience the familiar song "Hello Vietnam" and the Chau Van tune "Co Doi Thuong Ngan". In particular, the Hau Dong dance left a deep impression, introducing to the audience the Vietnamese Mother Goddess Worship of the Three Realms, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Singer Trang Bui impressed with the classic chamber song "O Sole Mio" performed with traditional Vietnamese instruments at the Exhibition House stage.
Another highlight of the program was the Yosakoi dance performance by two dance teams from Hanoi, Nui Truc Sakura and Hanoi Sennen. These are the two dance teams that won the title of Yosakoi Ambassador to Vietnam awarded by Kochi Prefecture, Japan in 2017. The two Yosakoi performances above were in Japanese style, but the teams were creative in incorporating Vietnamese cultural history, with the spirit of solidarity, patriotism, and indomitable will into the work, attracting the cheers of thousands of audiences at the Inner East stage.
Sharing about the event, Mr. Tran Nhat Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Deputy General Representative of Vietnam at Expo 2025 said that Expo 2025 is an opportunity for us to convey the message about the country and people of Vietnam. With today's performance, we convey the message about a Vietnam with a young, dynamic, talented population, a Vietnam with special friendship with Japan and where Japanese culture has certain influences, which has the potential to bring people of the two countries closer together, bringing long-term benefits in cooperation.
Two yosakoi dance teams from Hanoi, Nui Truc Sakura and Hanoi Sennen, rocked the stage at Expo 2025.
After the outdoor stage, two Yosakoi dance teams and singer Trang Bui continued to perform at the Vietnam Exhibition House. Trang Bui returned to her forte and surprised the Japanese audience when she performed the classic chamber song "O Sole Mio" with traditional Vietnamese instruments.
More specifically, members of Nui Truc Sakura and Hanoi Sennen collaborated with staff of the Vietnam Exhibition House at Expo 2025 to perform a flashmob to the song "Oh Vietnam" right in front of the Vietnam Exhibition House. This is one of many meaningful activities of the Vietnam Exhibition House at Expo 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.
Yosakoi dancers and staff of the Vietnam Exhibition House danced together in front of the Vietnam Exhibition House and received enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
On September 2, the entire Exhibition Hall will be decorated with red flags with yellow stars; visitors are invited to participate in activities such as watching live-streamed military parades, parades welcoming September 2 from Vietnam, checking in at the corner of Vietnam's National Day, painting hats about Vietnam - Japan relations..../.
