Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Exhibition Press Center, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said that the exhibition of national achievements "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" taking place from August 28 to September 5 is an event of special significance to honor history and introduce the achievements of the Party, State and People in the process of building, protecting and developing the country over the past 80 years.
At the same time, it affirms the leadership role of the Party, the management and administration of the State, the consensus, creativity and efforts of the entire nation in the cause of national construction and development, contributing to promoting the strength of great national unity.
The exhibition is not only a place to admire valuable artifacts, documents and images, but also a space to display the country's development achievements so that every citizen, especially the young generation, can relive historical moments, understand more deeply the value of independence and freedom, as well as understand more deeply the aspirations, will and intelligence of Vietnam.
Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh emphasized that press information work contributes significantly to the success of activities within the framework of the Exhibition "80 Years of Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness".
The Press Center will be the place to organize, direct and guide press activities related to the Exhibition, providing information and the best services for domestic and foreign reporters. Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh affirmed that he will create all favorable conditions for reporters to report on the exhibition, thereby contributing to the overall success of the exhibition and events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized that the exhibition of 80 years of national achievements is a major event that has never been held before with the participation of ministries, branches, central organizations, 34 provinces, cities, enterprises... Each ministry, branch, organization, locality... will have its own exhibition space, with content spanning the entire length of history, introducing the characteristics of the region and locality. "Up to now, it can be seen that most of the booths have deployed equipment, machinery, applied new technology with many modern methods and displays", Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong assessed.
The exhibition also has a space for performing art programs. The international exhibition area and 12 cultural industries are also notable features of the exhibition. This area will introduce products of 12 cultural industries and achievements of each field such as: Advertising; architecture; handicrafts; design; cinema; publishing; fashion ; performing arts...
Sharing at the press conference about the exhibition and the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, Major General Tong Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, said: At the 80-year national achievements exhibition, the Ministry of National Defense participated in the indoor exhibition booth and the outdoor exhibition area. In particular, the indoor exhibition booth has the theme "Development Creation", an area of over 700m2 , recreating the historical milestones of the Vietnam People's Army in its 80-year journey with the country, applying technology in the exhibition, introducing tradition and modernity. In particular, there is an experience area to increase interaction with visitors.
For the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, as of August 22, there are 6 forces participating in the parade, including: Traditional torch bearer force and fire guard; ceremonial artillery force; air force flying salute; parade and marching force; background force (including the fire guard and 29 standing blocks); force forming shapes and letters.
The parade force includes 4 honor guard units; 43 units representing the people's armed forces; foreign military units, including 4 countries that have agreed to participate: China, Russia, Laos, and Cambodia. In addition, there are also military vehicles, artillery, and special vehicles of the Public Security; a sea parade force, 12 mass parade units, and a cultural and sports unit.
The Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security have directed the training of forces participating in the parade and march at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 from the beginning of May 2025, organizing 4 joint training sessions and 5 combined training sessions. The combined training session on the evening of August 21 at Ba Dinh Square achieved good quality. In general, up to now, all blocks and forces have completed the training program, 100% of officers and soldiers have good awareness, high determination, and are excited to carry out their tasks.
