One of the durian orchards of the Krong Pac Green Agriculture Cooperative. Here, each durian tree is assigned a different sequential number.
According to the cooperative's representative, this method makes it easier to monitor pests and diseases, as well as the yield and quality of each plant.
The nutrient meter is placed in the garden. The sensors are embedded deep in the soil and every 12 hours they report the temperature, nutrient levels, moisture, and pH of the soil to a smartphone.

Mr. Tran Van Thang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Krong Pac Green Agriculture Cooperative, Krong Pac commune, Dak Lak province, said: "Based on the indicators on this machine, we fertilize accordingly. For example, my family normally fertilizes one plant with 2 kg of nitrogen. But with this device, we only need to apply 1 kg or half a kg. When producing a product, the responsibility to the consumer is the ultimate one, but first and foremost, it's about ourselves and the people who work for us."
By applying digital transformation, the entire management of a large farm is condensed into a smartphone. In his 10-hectare red-fleshed dragon fruit plantation in Phu Tho province, Mr. Nguyen Dac Thanh has installed a climate monitoring and forecasting station with a 5-kilometer coverage radius right in his orchard.
The irrigation and fertilization systems are installed in a synchronized manner and operate fully automatically based on sensors. Combined with an advanced climate monitoring and forecasting system, crops receive the most accurate and timely care.
According to calculations by several cooperatives and farms, applying digital technology to agriculture will help reduce input costs by approximately 25-30%.
Therefore, digital transformation is a crucial solution for optimizing resources: reducing waste, cutting operating costs; minimizing risks and responding more quickly to market and climate changes; enhancing competitiveness, while providing high-quality products to consumers.
