Digital transformation in Party work

Currently, proactively applying information technology and innovating methods of implementing professional tasks is no longer an option, but an essential requirement for every cadre, Party member, and grassroots Party organization. Strengthening the application of information technology, processing work using specialized software, reducing bureaucracy, and optimizing work processing time are solutions actively implemented by the provincial Party agencies to promote comprehensive digital transformation and enhance the effectiveness of leadership, guidance, and task implementation.

Party branches and committees have led and directed cadres and party members throughout the organization to proactively apply information technology as a "habit" in all aspects of work, from document management, information, and propaganda to organizing and implementing activities. One of the outstanding digital transformation activities widely implemented throughout the province is the application of the "Electronic Party Member Handbook" in party branch meetings. This tool brings many practical benefits, helping party committees monitor the situation and improve the quality of party branch meetings at the grassroots level.

To date, the province has invested in a live video conferencing system connecting to all locations in localities and the Party Committees of provincial-level Party agencies. Party agencies have digitized 100% of incoming and outgoing documents; implemented paperless meeting rooms; and used digital signatures in document issuance… In addition, the Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council have effectively implemented paperless meetings and conferences, contributing to more convenient and efficient management, operation, and work handling by leaders. Delegates can easily access many documents related to the meeting content; saving time and stationery costs, while also reducing errors in document arrangement and improving the quality of meetings.

In Go Quao commune, the digitization of resolutions, programs, and plans has facilitated easy access to information for officials, Party members, and the people, and has been a priority for the commune's Party Committee. The commune's Party Committee has also promoted digital transformation in the storage and exploitation of data from subordinate Party committees, branches, and members. The application of information technology enhances information management, connects Party committees at all levels, provides timely information to officials and Party members, improves the quality of Party committee and branch meetings, and strengthens the leadership capacity of Party organizations.

Assessing the positive impact of digital transformation, local Party committee leaders all agree that the outstanding value it brings is promoting transparency and accuracy in Party work in general and in data reporting in particular. According to Nguyen Xuan Hoai, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Tuy commune, thanks to the effective operation of operational management software such as the official email system, the document management and operational system, and the work program and schedule building system, the effectiveness of the grassroots Party committee has been significantly improved.

Through the active application of digital transformation, cadres and Party members in Party branches and committees have enhanced their technological skills, innovative thinking, and adaptability in the context of the strong digital transformation taking place throughout the entire political system. One such example is Mr. Bui Van Nhan, a Party member of the Culture and Social Affairs Department Party Branch, Go Quao Commune Cultural, Sports and Broadcasting Center. Over the past period, he has consistently applied information technology in writing news articles; using drones to film beautiful documentary footage; and researching information to learn operational skills, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the unit's information and propaganda work.

Following the directives of the Party branch and Party committee, many Party members have demonstrated a sense of responsibility when participating in social media, always setting a good example in complying with the law, behaving civilly, and actively spreading official information. With the spirit of each Party member being a propagandist, they proactively participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation, resolutely fighting against false narratives, and contributing to maintaining the people's trust.
