What's happening to Rap Viet champion De Choat?

In recent days, the statements on social media of Rap Viet season 1 champion - De Choat have become the focus of public attention.

On the morning of February 26, De Choat posted a harsh post: "Who is living wrongly, who is ungrateful, who betrays friendship? Who, for money, for fame, arranges, manipulates psychology, and insults brothers? Who, for the sake of becoming the leader of the pack, forms groups, forms cliques, depends on others' efforts, and controls the children?

Who, because of a few songs, wants to be alone for life, tries to cut off relationships? Who, because of the ambition to gather a group to serve their ego, turns the tables? Time will tell, God has eyes. Feeling has led me to the path of awakening through pain."

Previously, on the evening of February 25, the male rapper expressed: "I am now a sinner, abandoned by my brothers and sisters in society, my career is ruined, I have to go it alone. I am at the bottom of society with my mother. Are you satisfied with everything?"

On May 24, De Choat shared about a fanpage posting many articles and false information, defaming and affecting his honor.

According to De Choat, immediately after discovering the incident, he collected all posts with the above content. At the same time, the rapper asked the admin of this page to delete all posts as well as issue an official apology to him.

Not long after, the fanpage owner hid all related posts, admitted his mistakes and pledged to be more careful in creating content.

"My content unintentionally affected some people (including De Choat). I feel this has gone too far, so from now on I will be more careful in creating content.

I have been contacted to delete content that affects others and I am comfortable with this. Finally, I would like to apologize to rapper De Choat and those who feel affected by me. I will hide posts related to this issue," the fanpage's announcement stated.

De Choat came out of Rap Viet season 1 with the highest position. But recently, Wowy's student's products have not received much attention.

Since mid-2024, he has been constantly making noise when he posted that he wanted to compare his rhyming skills with other rappers.

On the contrary, De Choat called rapper Jombie's name with a negative attitude. This also started a debate online.

De Choat's real name is Chau Hai Minh, born in 1996 in Soc Trang . He is loved by many audiences for his musical talent and will to overcome adversity. It is known that the rapper was born and raised in a family with difficult circumstances. He only finished 9th grade, then had to do many manual labor jobs to make a living.

The rapper became famous in 2018 with the songs "Doi la lam a nghen" (reaching 61 million views on YouTube), "Co nhan tinh" (29 million views). In 2020, he became the champion of Rap Viet season 1, then was nominated for New Artist of the Year at the Dedication Award.
