The provincial post office currently has 187 service points in 65 communes and wards. Typically, from November each year, the volume of goods delivered through postal services increases by an average of 40-50% compared to other months of the year. On peak days, the volume of goods can reach nearly 20 tons per day.
Mr. Hoang Thanh Viet, Deputy Director of the Provincial Post Office and Director of the Operations Center, stated: With a large volume of goods, to ensure smooth delivery of mail during the year-end period, the Provincial Post Office is focusing on implementing comprehensive solutions to serve the peak season. This includes allocating personnel and increasing shifts to handle incoming mail to ensure timely coordination with intra-provincial and inter-provincial mail routes; and deploying additional vehicles and increasing the number of transport trips beyond the daily scheduled mail deliveries. Specifically, the Provincial Post Office currently has a network of 255 postal workers and transporters directly involved in the final delivery stages. On peak days, the unit deploys additional delivery routes to support and ensure smooth mail delivery.
During this period, the Provincial Post Office maximized the operation of its postal vehicle system across the entire network. The Provincial Post Office's Operations Center regularly monitored and supervised the volume of goods to coordinate additional vehicle trips. Post offices operated to optimize the processing time of mail through application software.
Besides focusing resources and equipment on the operational stage, the Provincial Post Office also decisively directed the organization of postal delivery in various areas. Accordingly, at the delivery post offices, postal workers focused on delivering mail efficiently every day, preventing backlogs; there was coordination between routes to ensure smooth mail flow; and monitoring was carried out strictly through a software system…
Ms. Trieu Thuy Linh, Director of Van Quan Post Office, said: "Currently, we manage 6 commune post offices in the former Van Quan district with 19 service points. During the period leading up to the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse, the volume of mail at our unit increased by over 20% compared to normal days. To ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods, in addition to maintaining the regular daily delivery routes, we have now added one more route per day; and we have assigned personnel to be ready to handle any unforeseen mail shipments to ensure timely coordination with the intra-provincial mail routes..."
With a large workload, to motivate and encourage units and individuals to perform their duties well and ensure that mail is delivered quickly and safely, from the beginning of January 2026, the Provincial Post Office implemented a program to improve quality and compete in the theme "On-time connection, swift delivery". As a result, the sense of responsibility and proactiveness of the staff, employees, and postal workers throughout the network has significantly improved, ensuring safety, security, and timeliness in providing postal services.
