Hanoi Police Club 'ties up' Phan Van Duc

Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) has just extended the contract with midfielder Phan Van Duc for another 3 years.

"Phan Van Duc officially signed a new contract, continuing to wear the red shirt until 2028 - an affirmation of trust, commitment and determination from both sides in a long-term development strategy," the police team announced on the morning of June 19.

CAHN Club's homepage writes: "There will be new challenges and aspirations ahead. Wishing Van Duc to always maintain his form, play explosively and conquer great milestones with the Club in the journey ahead."

After Doan Van Hau and Vu Van Thanh, Phan Van Duc is the next player to extend his contract with CAHN Club. Van Duc's previous contract was for 2 years, ending in July 2025. At the end of the season, Duc expressed his intention to find a new destination but was persuaded by CAHN Club's leadership to stay.

By retaining key players like Van Thanh and Van Duc, CAHN Club continues to show its ambition to compete for the title next season. This is also the motivation for the two players to focus wholeheartedly on the National Cup semi-finals (against The Cong - Viettel ) at the end of June, the only front where the police team still has a chance to be crowned in the 2024 - 2025 season.

Phan Van Duc was born in 1996, from Nghe An , and is one of the best attacking players of V-League and the Vietnamese national team during the period when Mr. Park Hang Seo was still working.

When he first joined CAHN Club, Van Duc suffered an injury so he could not contribute much to the journey to win the V-League 2023 championship. When he returned from 2024, Duc left his mark with important goals and assists, especially in the Southeast Asian arena, for CAHN Club.

Last year, coach Kim Sang Sik called up Phan Van Duc to the Vietnam national team during the FIFA Days in September to face Russia and Thailand. However, by the end of the year, Van Duc was not fit enough to join the team for the ASEAN Cup 2024.
