Despite having already secured the championship three rounds early, Hanoi Police FC still fielded a strong lineup when they hosted Becamex Ho Chi Minh City in Round 25 of the V-League 2025-2026 on the evening of May 31st.
With the pressure of securing points gone, coach Mano Polking and his team played with determination to turn their home coronation ceremony into a true celebration.

The biggest impact came from striker Nguyen Dinh Bac. In the 16th minute, the player from Nghe An province played a through pass to striker Alan Grafite, who broke free to face goalkeeper Tran Minh Toan and scored the opening goal.
At the start of the second half, Dinh Bac continued to set up striker Leo Artur to score, extending the lead to 2-0 in the 46th minute. Center-back Milos Zlatkovic reduced the deficit for the visitors in the 57th minute, but Becamex Ho Chi Minh City could not find another goal.

The 2-1 victory helped Hanoi Police FC increase their total points to 64 after 25 rounds, thus equaling the record for points in a V-League season that Hanoi FC set in 2018. The police team still has a chance to break the record when they face The Cong Viettel in the final round on June 7th.

In contrast to the joy of the champions, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City is put in a difficult position before the final round. The team from Binh Duong has 21 points, temporarily sitting second to last in the standings, level on points with SHB Da Nang and PVF-CAND but behind them due to tie-breaking criteria.
In the final round, Becamex Ho Chi Minh City will host Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC, a team that has already secured their place in the league. Meanwhile, SHB Da Nang will play Dong A Thanh Hoa, and PVF-CAND will travel to Song Lam Nghe An FC.
When the gap between the bottom three teams is only determined by goal difference, any mistake could cost them dearly and lead to direct relegation.
The final round matches of the V-League 2025-2026 will all take place simultaneously at 6 PM on June 7th.
