On the afternoon of December 5th (Vietnam time), Cloudflare's system experienced an outage, preventing users from accessing many popular platforms. Among the affected services was Downdetector , a website specializing in monitoring and reporting network outages.
The outage lasted only about 20 minutes. According to CNBC , Cloudflare quickly deployed a fix, and the affected websites began functioning normally again.
What worries the tech community is the frequency of the incidents. This is the second time in less than 30 days that Cloudflare has experienced a serious outage.
Earlier in November, a similar incident affected major players like Spotify, ChatGPT, and others.
This time, Cloudflare shares fell as much as 4.5% in pre-market trading after numerous global websites experienced disruptions, prompting the company to launch an investigation.
