Regarding the landslide at Dau Con market in group 3, My Thuan hamlet and group 1, My Khanh 1 hamlet, My Hoa Hung commune ( An Giang province), on the morning of October 30, the leader of My Hoa Hung commune said that the functional forces are still conducting field surveys, supporting people to dismantle and move their assets to a safe place.

The locality also continues to mobilize people around to cut down trees, clear bushes, move structures to reduce the load and pull cords to cordon off the area, install barriers, temporary signs, hang warning lights... to ensure traffic safety. At the same time, monitor to warn and mobilize households at risk of being affected by subsidence and landslides to move to a safe place.

Previously, at 1:00 p.m. on October 29, a landslide occurred in the above area. Immediately afterward, the commune's functional forces were present to rescue and evacuate people's property from the dangerous area. The initial cause was determined, the landslide occurred in an area that had been warned by the authorities; right at the bend, there was a current close to the shore, the water flowed rapidly, combined with the large load on the shore... causing landslides and subsidence.

Although no human damage has been recorded, the incident caused a landslide about 120m long, 15m deep into the bank, completely collapsed a wooden bridge serving traffic, a grocery store completely collapsed, 8 households were affected (with 23 people). Estimated damage is more than 1 billion VND.
