Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee received Official Dispatch No. 6126/SNV-VP dated October 23, 2025 of the Department of Home Affairs on the proposal to implement administrative procedures according to the "green lane" priority mechanism.

In Official Dispatch No. 18821/UBND-HCC dated October 29, 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung agreed with the proposal of the Department of Home Affairs to put 2 administrative procedures in the employment sector into the "green lane" priority mechanism, including: procedures for granting work permits to foreign workers working in Vietnam and procedures for extending work permits for foreign workers working in Vietnam.

Procedures for granting work permits to foreign workers working in Vietnam, priority time for classification and completion of processing is 7 working days from the date of receiving complete and valid documents as prescribed in case of approval of the request and issuance of work permits.

Procedures for extending work permits for foreign workers working in Vietnam, priority time for classification and completion of processing is 7 working days from the date of receiving complete and valid documents as prescribed.

Thus, compared to the processing time prescribed by law of 10 working days from the date of receiving complete and valid documents, the processing time for the above 2 administrative procedures is shortened by 3 days, equivalent to a rate of 30%.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dau Thanh Tung assigned the Department of Home Affairs and the Provincial Public Administration Service Center to develop internal procedures and electronic procedures to implement procedures to ensure shortening the processing time of enterprises, promoting activities to attract high-quality workers and foreign experts to work in Thanh Hoa province, thereby improving the administrative reform index (PAR Index) and the provincial competitiveness index (PCI).
