Support for people affected by storms and floods in Tay Do and Vinh Loc communes

On the morning of October 30, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans coordinated with the Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities, Orphans and Protection of Children's Rights of Thanh Hoa province to organize a program to give gifts to people in Tay Do and Vinh Loc communes affected by storms and floods.

Representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans in coordination with the Thanh Hoa Province Association for the Protection of the Disabled, Orphans and Protection of Children's Rights presented gifts to families in special circumstances.

The program is sponsored by the Central Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Vietnam and Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan, Deputy Head of the Central Association's Resource Mobilization Board.

The program awarded 200 gifts, each consisting of 500,000 VND in cash and 500,000 VND in kind to 200 households in Tay Do and Vinh Loc communes. These are all families with disabled people, orphans, and families in especially difficult circumstances whose assets and crops were severely affected by the recent storm and flood. The total value of the program is 200 million VND.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Dam, Chairman of the Central Association for the Support of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Vietnam, spoke at the gift-giving ceremony.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trong Dam, Chairman of the Central Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities and Orphans of Vietnam, emphasized: The gifts given have special meaning, showing the kindness and sharing of the Central Association and sponsors for people affected by natural disasters, and at the same time wishing to contribute a small part together with the Party Committee, government, mass organizations and people of the two communes to quickly stabilize their lives and production.
