Youth union members and young people in Thot Not ward participate in environmental sanitation.

The Thot Not Ward Youth Union established 3 volunteer teams for environmental protection, with 60 youth union members. These youth union members participated in addressing environmental "hotspots"; clearing bushes; planting trees and flowers in the grounds of agencies, units, and schools; and collecting plastic waste and pesticide packaging.

In addition, the Ward Youth Union often organizes "Volunteer Saturday" and "Green Sunday" activities in various areas. Ms. Tran Thi Mong Thu, Secretary of the Thoi Binh 2 area Youth Union branch, said: "When the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the area organize environmental sanitation activities, the Youth Union members actively participate. Besides that, the Youth Union branch propagates and mobilizes Youth Union members and residents to maintain a green, clean, and beautiful environment and to sort waste at the source."

From the beginning of 2025 until now, the Thot Not Ward Youth Union has implemented many youth projects and activities to build a civilized urban area. These include launching the "National Flag Road" project in Thoi Hoa 1, Thoi Hoa 2, Thoi Thanh 1, and Thoi Thanh 2 areas. Simultaneously, they have developed a model for popular education, established a team of youth volunteers to assist people in using online public services. The Ward Youth Union has coordinated with local departments and organizations to launch campaigns, parades, and distribute leaflets promoting environmental protection; participated in planting trees in commemoration of "Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho" along the roads; and built the "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful Road" model…

According to Ms. Pham Tuong Duyen, Secretary of the Ward Youth Union, local youth are actively building and improving the quality of activities of volunteer youth teams participating in environmental protection; maintaining traffic safety and urban order; preventing, combating, and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters; and implementing social welfare programs… Simultaneously, the Ward Youth Union is coordinating with other units to effectively implement the "Safe Traffic Gate" model at secondary and primary schools; organizing effective youth shock teams to participate in crime prevention and combating social evils, and participating with military and police forces in patrolling and guarding residential areas.

During the period 2022-2025, the Thot Not Ward Youth Union implemented over 95 youth projects and activities, with a total value of over 1 billion VND in benefits. The Ward Youth Union built and strengthened many successful community mobilization models, such as: "Lighting up rural roads," "Friendly trash cans," and "Bright, green, clean, and beautiful roads and alleys." The Ward Youth Union focused on contributing to the construction of a civilized urban environment through peak volunteer activities during Youth Month, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign; and activities celebrating anniversaries, holidays, and Party congresses at all levels…

In the coming period, the Ward Youth Union will continue to innovate its methods of organizing volunteer activities, such as: organizing regular, on-site, online, and group-based volunteer activities; improving the quality of youth union programs and movements; actively participating in environmental protection and climate change adaptation; ensuring social welfare; ensuring traffic safety and order; and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters...

Ms. Pham Tuong Duyen informed: “The ward's Youth Union focuses on linking volunteer activities with the implementation of criteria for a civilized urban ward; at the same time, promoting the role of Youth Union officials and members in participating in volunteer activities in digital transformation, digital economic development, and digital society.”
