People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi plays two opposite fates

In two TV series released in early November, People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi will play two contrasting roles: one poor and one rich and luxurious.

In the movie Sweet Honey Like Smoke (directed by Hoang Map - Cu Hue ), Trinh Kim Chi plays Mrs. Tam Luong - a widow who decides to remarry. Tam Luong is a poor woman who sells fried bananas to earn money to raise her son Thanh (played by Tran Nhat Hao) to study.

Tragedy often happened to Mrs. Tam Luong's family when her second husband did not care about driving a motorbike taxi but drank, often got drunk, and beat his wife and children... The most dramatic story happened to Mrs. Tam Luong when her son went missing and fell into human trafficking across the border.

According to director Hoang Map, although he has directed many films, this is the first time he has seen a famous actress without makeup before filming, completely bare-faced like the case of People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi in the role of Mrs. Tam Luong.

“As for acting, with her technique and experience in filming since the 90s, Trinh Kim Chi always completes her scenes the fastest,” director Hoang Map emphasized.

Meanwhile, in the TV series Tra Ma Nu (director Hoang Map - Cu Hue), People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi plays the role of Mrs. Bay Tra, the mother of Hai Giau (Hoang Map) and Cam Loan (Phuong Ngan).

The actress also plays the role of a widow but is elegant, sharp and charming, completely different from the character of Mrs. Tam Luong.

Mrs. Bay Tra holds a lot of power as the owner of the richest tea business in the area where her family lives.

Because she could not accept her daughter being pregnant with a poor man, she tried every means to destroy her daughter's feelings and decided to marry her into a rich family.

As planned, the movie Sweet as Smoke will be broadcast on YouTube channel SCTV14 - Official Vietnamese Film Channel, exclusively at 8:00 p.m. every day, from November 2.

Meanwhile, the movie Tea Witch will air on Vietnamese movie channel SCTV14 at 7:45 p.m. every day from November 3.
