Since the beginning of January, Ms. Nguyen Tran Bao Ngoc (28 years old, aerobics trainer, living in Bac Giang city) has started decorating for Tet, turning her private home and company office into a place to take photos and welcome people for free.

Right after Christmas, she placed an order for Tet decorations. The unit in charge was a famous business and decoration store in Hanoi .

The unit transported the models from Hanoi to Bac Giang in disassembled form. Upon arrival, the workers set up each mat, backdrop, peach tree, and apricot tree.

"The decoration idea comes from the dragon mascot of the Year of the Dragon. Especially since this year I am welcoming my first baby, I want to make a magnificent dragon model to keep the memory," Ngoc said.

The facade of the building displays the “twin dragons gathering”, with two dragons measuring 12m and 15m long, made of steel frames, covered with waterproof fabric, resistant to wind and rain. If including the decorative joints, this part covers the entire front of the 6-storey building.

The decoration in the lobby is in the style of a traditional Vietnamese Tet market. The decoration in front of the house includes folk games and Tet fun.

The project was expected to be completed in 3-4 days, but the construction time had to be extended to 7 days due to weather conditions and changes in decoration ideas.

The total cost was nearly 800 million VND due to the addition of many decorative miniatures, exceeding the estimate by about 200-300 million VND.

"But because I wanted everything to be as perfect as possible, I still paid extra, and dismantled it and redid it twice, trying to bring out the traditional Tet colors," Ngoc said.

At the end of January, the female coach's house began welcoming people to visit and take photos day and night, open during Tet.

Every day, staff will arrange the decoration areas, replace the flower pots if they are damaged or wilted. The homeowner always has a contingency plan and is willing to pay if additional decorations are needed.

The girl from Bac Giang said the number of visitors every day is so large that it is impossible to count. Many people wear Ao Dai, taking pictures with excitement and joy. She hopes that her house will become the "childhood" of many children, which they will look back on and find meaningful.

Duc Huy, who lives in Bac Giang City, was surprised by Ngoc’s family’s magnificently decorated Tet building. As one of the photographers hired to take pictures, he said that on warm sunny days, locals and tourists flock here to both sightsee and take souvenir photos.

"Not only Tet, but also on other holidays, Ms. Ngoc invests in decorating her house and warmly welcoming people," Huy said.

Ms. Ngoc Mai (27 years old, Bac Giang City) said this was the first time she had come to such a beautiful and unique photo location in the city. In early February, she and her daughter stopped by to take photos, and seeing it with their own eyes, they could see the grandeur and grandeur of the space.

"In Bac Giang, no one invests and spends as much as Ms. Ngoc," said Ms. Mai.

Having a passion for organizing events, the female coach often decorates the lobby of her house during major holidays such as: Lunar New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival, Christmas, Halloween.

"These activities will attract people to visit and easily access my business brand. In addition, from the aspect of promoting local culture, I want to introduce the beauty of my hometown," she said.

Previously, Bao Ngoc was a famous bride on social media when she spent 1.6 billion VND singing Quan Ho and creating a Hanoi scene at her engagement ceremony in October 2023.

The most prominent is the space recreating the Dong Ho folk painting "The Mouse Wedding" with 3D foam animals, painted in bright colors and a red palanquin.

With photo areas with autumn flower cars, green rice cakes, and to he stalls..., Ngoc came up with the idea of recreating the space of Hanoi's Old Quarter because this is the groom's hometown.

In addition, the groom's family also carried the ceremony by cyclo. To return the gift, the bride's family also recreated the Kinh Bac homeland space with the quan ho song "Guests come to visit the house, please drink and betel" by the sisters in the traditional four-panel dress, wearing conical hats and carrying betel trays shaped like phoenix wings.
