Final article: Building the future from the Party's will, the people's heart, and the strength of businesses
Resolution No. 68 (NQ68) opens a new era of development for Long An Economic Zone with expectations of growth, digital and green transformation. Future prospects and enthusiastic recommendations from the business community will be the driving force to create a comprehensive environment, bringing Long An Economic Zone to new heights, especially in the context of forming a new potential Tay Ninh province after the merger of Tay Ninh and Long An provinces.
Opens up many possibilities
With ambitious targets of an average growth rate of 10-12%/year and a large contribution to GDP and the budget, private enterprises are expected to become the core driving force. To realize this, enterprises need to turn technology and preferential policies into powerful “leverages”, promote research and development (R&D), not only improve productivity but also create profound added values, promote the formation of large private corporations capable of leading the market and reaching deep into the global value chain.
The banner presented by the provincial leaders is both a worthy recognition and a motivation for the Provincial Business Association to continue to help the business community and Long An private economy make a stronger breakthrough.
Global integration and meeting strict market standards require Long An Economic Zone to embark on the path of digital transformation and green transformation . This is not only a trend but also an inevitable requirement for enterprises to improve their competitiveness.
Incentive policies from Resolution 68, especially encouraging investment in R&D and supporting capital and land, will be valuable resources to help businesses accelerate the process of automating production, applying green technology and modern digital systems, towards an efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly business model.
Taking advantage of its strategic geographical location, synchronous infrastructure and abundant labor resources, the province aims to develop key economic sectors such as processing industry, high-tech agriculture and logistics. In particular, the vision of merging Long An and Tay Ninh into a new growth pole opens up a large space for the development of the private economy.
The new Tay Ninh province will be a comprehensive economic picture, creating great space for innovative business models, inter-regional value chains, attracting large-scale investment, bringing the entire region's private economy to a new height with breakthrough momentum.
| Having a strong pillar in the economy: Resolution 68 paves the way for the private economy to rise (Part 2) On the journey to create new values and promote the country's common prosperity, the private economic sector has been affirming its pioneering role as an important endogenous resource for growth and innovation. |
Desire to create a favorable and transparent business investment environment
To turn those expectations into reality, the Long An business community has sent heartfelt recommendations to the provincial government, hoping to create a truly favorable and transparent investment and business environment. Although Long An has achieved impressive results in the Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and Provincial Green Index (PGI), businesses still crave a deeper and broader administrative revolution. They proposed establishing a special working group to review and simplify land, investment and construction procedures, and at the same time effectively implement the “one-stop, one-stop” model with full online public services. An effective monitoring mechanism, publicizing the results of handling recommendations and strictly handling harassment and negative behaviors are also urgent requirements to eliminate the “matrix” of procedures and legal risks.
The Provincial Business Association and the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association are always important partners, accompanying the socio-economic development of the province.
Access to resources is the lifeblood of enterprises. The Long An business community especially recommends increasing support for capital, land and high-quality labor. It is necessary to strengthen the connection between banks and enterprises, organize investment promotion forums to introduce Long An's potential to domestic and foreign funds as well as effectively implement capital support programs from the Central and local levels.
Regarding land, the province needs to proactively allocate “clean” land in new or expanded industrial zones for small and medium-sized enterprises and innovative enterprises, while at the same time publicizing and making planning information transparent. To improve labor quality, enterprises recommend promoting the three-way cooperation relationship between the State - schools - enterprises, encouraging enterprises to participate in building training programs that are close to actual needs and having attractive policies to attract talented people and good experts to contribute to the province.
Chairman of the Provincial Business Association - Trinh Van Hai expects: “The Long An business community has strong faith in Resolution 68, considering it a strategic boost for the overall development of the province. The development of businesses will lead to a strong wave of investment, creating tens of thousands of new jobs and increasing budget revenue, thereby promoting remarkable economic growth.
The breakthrough of enterprises also activates supporting and service industries, forming a vibrant business ecosystem, spreading benefits to the entire local economy. With a great vision, the business community expects Resolution 68 to turn Long An into a bright spot in the national economy, a symbol of sustainable development and prosperity in the future, turning hope into concrete actions so that Long An becomes a model of success.
Public-private partnerships and ongoing dialogue are the foundation for sustainable development. Businesses expect regular dialogue forums between provincial leaders and associations to be held regularly, not only to listen but also to inform the government about new policies and plans, creating consensus. The role and real power of business associations need to be enhanced so that they can truly become effective “bridges”, gathering recommendations and policy criticism.
Finally, building a strong team of entrepreneurs with sufficient qualities and capacity to meet the requirements of the new era is a key task. Resolution 68 pays special attention to training and fostering a team of entrepreneurs with ethics, advanced business culture, strong political will, intelligence, dynamism, creativity and aspiration to rise up.
According to the Chairman of the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association - Duong Long Thanh, many young people are very good at ideas, very passionate but still have two difficulties: One is that their management experience is still lacking, and two is that their resources are not thick enough. In terms of human resources, Long An still lacks technology talent, especially in the fields of software, AI, data analysis - while this is the core for creative startups. To retain talented people, there must be a quality environment. More importantly, there must be a real ecosystem - where the government, businesses, schools, and supporting organizations participate together. There needs to be a place for sharing - mentoring - capital support - market connection.
“I recommend that the province try to research a Long An Innovation Fund - compact but with clear criteria to accompany young startups. In addition, there is a need for a Digital Startup Support Center - where entrepreneurs can learn, experiment, and connect. If this is done, Long An will become one of the ideal destinations for young entrepreneurs, not only from Ho Chi Minh City but also from the whole Western region,” Mr. Duong Long Thanh suggested.
To create a breakthrough development, close cooperation between the government and the business community is a prerequisite. When "Party's will - people's heart - business strength" are combined, Long An Economic Zone will certainly "take off", not only contributing to the sustainable development of the province but also reaching the regional level, especially in the context of forming a new potential Tay Ninh province./.
Resolution 68 has illuminated the development path of Long An Economic Zone, shaping a new era with three solid pillars. Firstly, the outstanding growth prospect, promoted by Resolution 68 and the vision of creating a new Tay Ninh province, will open up a large and potential development space. Second, strategic recommendations from the business community to remove administrative barriers, improve access to resources and promote public-private partnerships, creating strong momentum for innovation. Third, the indispensable key factor is to build a strong team of entrepreneurs - those with a pioneering spirit, leading Long An Economic Zone to break through and create the future. All of these create a clear and colorful development map, guiding the journey of Long An Economic Zone to reach further. |
