Should you restart your iPhone regularly?

Never restarting your iPhone doesn’t cause any serious problems, but your iPhone may have certain bugs like it running slow or some functions or apps starting to behave abnormally. At this point, restarting a device like your iPhone can be the solution to such problems.

Whether or not to restart your iPhone regularly is something many people think about.

When we restart our iPhone, we are also restarting its background processes. Not everything we see on the screen is what the iPhone is doing, as it is running hundreds of operations silently even when people close all background apps. All operating systems, including iOS, are designed to work with these resources, but despite all this, they still sometimes struggle.

So, restarting will clear up the problem. Of course, if the problem is hardware or there is a defect like a broken screen or something like that, this method will not be enough to solve it.

The question is, should you do this regularly? There is basically no clear answer because there is no research that conclusively calculates the exact boot cycle and Apple does not say anything about it. Ideally, users should do this whenever they encounter the error described above.

A quick tip to restart your iPhone is to press/release the volume up/down button, while holding down the power button until the apple logo appears on the screen. Users should restart at least once a week to avoid any potential problems. For convenience, users can set a recurring reminder before it becomes a habit.
