NDO - On the first trading day of the week, November 11th, the market opened in positive territory but quickly reversed sharply, with shares in many sectors such as banking, securities, and energy plunging into the red; buying pressure returned in the afternoon session, only helping the VN-Index to fall slightly by 2.24 points at the close, to 1,250.32 points.
Market liquidity increased sharply compared to the previous session and remained at a high level, with a total trading volume of over 886.62 million shares across all three exchanges, equivalent to a total trading value of over 21,157.76 billion VND.
Foreign investors continued to be net sellers with a value of over VND 963.25 billion, focusing on stocks such as MSN (over VND 245 billion), CMG (over VND 206 billion), STB (over VND 112 billion), SSI (over VND 69 billion), MWG (over VND 65 billion), etc.
Conversely, stocks with significant net buying in this session included HPG (over 160 billion VND), DGC (over 67 billion VND), CSV (over 27 billion VND), GMD (over 13 billion VND), TLG (over 10 billion VND), etc.
On the HoSE exchange, the trading value also increased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching over 17,619.21 billion VND.
In this session, the stocks that contributed positively to the VN-Index's increase of over 5.01 points included: HPG,FPT , VHM, HVN, GVR, MSN, DGC, BCM, CMG, and BVH.
Conversely, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index, causing it to drop by more than 5.53 points, included: BID, STB, MWG, TCB, VPB, HDB, MBB, TPB, LPB, and VCB.
In terms of sectors, banking stocks were mostly in the red this session, falling by 1.09%, mainly driven by stocks such as BID, VCB, CTG, TCB, VPB, MBB, ACB, LPB, VIB, SSB, HDB, STB, TPB,SHB , OCB, EIB, BVB...
Similarly, the securities sector also performed negatively, with a 1.01% decrease, mainly driven by stocks such as SSI, VND, HCM, MBS, VIX, SHS, BSI, CTS, VDS, ORS, AGR, BVS, APG, VFS, AAS, OGC, TVB, TCI... A few stocks increased, including VCI, FTS, TVS...
Energy stocks also traded negatively, falling 1.12%, mainly driven by BSR , PVS, PVD, PVC, PVB, TVD, AAH, NBC, etc.
Conversely, the materials sector performed well in this session, rising 1.64%, mainly driven by stocks such as HGP, GVR, DGC, DCM, VGC, DPM, HSG, BMP, VCS, PHR, NTP, NKG, PTB, CSV, DPR, GDA, TDP... Stocks that declined included KSV, ACG, AAA, RTB, DHB, DHC...
The information technology sector also saw a strong increase of 2.09%, mainly driven by stocks like FPT and CMG.
Real estate stocks showed mixed performance, with a slight increase of 0.24%, mainly driven by VHM, BCM, VRE, KBC, IDC, SIP, HDG, SZN, KSF, SZC, IJC... Declining stocks included VIC, KDH, NVL, PDR, NLG, DIG, DXG, TCH, CEO, SJS...
* The Vietnamese stock market index was mostly in the red today, with the VNXALL-Index closing down 7.03 points (-0.34%) at 2,069.09 points. Trading volume exceeded 778.06 million units, with a trading value of over 20,027.63 billion VND. Across the market, 183 stocks increased in price, 100 remained unchanged, and 185 decreased.
* On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index closed at 226.86 points, down 0.02 points (-0.01%).
