The provincial police have advised the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee to issue programs and plans in the fight against, prevention and control of crimes related to weapons, explosives and supporting tools; in which they directed departments, branches, unions and commune-level People's Committees to carry out propaganda and mobilization work to collect weapons, explosives and supporting tools from the people.

Since the beginning of the year, the police forces of units and localities have organized over 600 sessions to disseminate laws on the management and use of weapons, explosives and support tools, attracting more than 14,300 participants, focusing on disseminating the implementation of the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Support Tools.
Results achieved in the first 6 months of 2025, the Public Security of units and localities in Thai Nguyen province organized over 600 sessions to disseminate laws on the management of weapons, explosives and supporting tools with over 14,300 participants, focusing on disseminating the implementation of the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools;
Through propaganda and mobilization work, the people proactively handed over 145 guns of various types; 248 bullets of various types; 0.3 kg of explosives; 0.28 kg of explosive precursors; 13 support tools; and 68 primitive weapons.
Along with propaganda work, Thai Nguyen Provincial Police also stepped up professional measures to combat violations. Through the fight, 04 cases and 04 subjects were investigated and prosecuted for illegal possession of military weapons. The seized exhibits included: 03 compressed air guns, 01 shotgun.

During this period, the provincial police coordinated with relevant units to destroy more than 2,000 weapons, explosives, and support tools of all kinds, including more than 200 military guns; more than 1,100 homemade guns; more than 200 rubber bullet and tear gas guns; nearly 300 support tools; nearly 30kg of lead bullets and many other types of weapon parts and components and equipment.
With the drastic participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, the work of managing, collecting and handling weapons, explosives and supporting tools in Thai Nguyen province has achieved many important results, contributing to maintaining security and order, ensuring a peaceful life for the people.
