In just 15 days during the peak period of crime suppression (up to January 4, 2024), ensuring security and safety before, during and after the Lunar New Year, Binh Thuan Police have cracked down on 14 cases of transporting, trading, storing and manufacturing firecrackers; arrested 20 suspects for investigation according to legal regulations.

The vast majority of cases of storing, transporting, and even storing firecrackers to produce homemade fireworks and guns are young men, with suspects being students at colleges and universities. And according to Colonel Dinh Kim Lap, these suspects are likely to say goodbye to their families, "this spring I won't be home" because Binh Thuan police have directed local police and professional units to resolutely handle and not miss any cases of illegal trading, storing or transporting of firecrackers, and strictly patrol and control the roads and areas.

The illegal transportation, trading, storage or production of firecrackers does not actually bring much profit. A detective told the author that for a case of transporting a few kilos of firecrackers, the suspects earn a few hundred thousand dong, but when caught, the consequences are very severe. According to Article 190 of the 2015 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2017), the act of transporting, trading, storing and producing firecrackers can be prosecuted for criminal liability...

Many suspects arrested for illegally storing, trading, and transporting firecrackers are quite young, even still students. Therefore, in the educational environment, it is necessary to propagate and warn students. Don't be foolish because of the greed for a few hundred thousand dong and get into the situation of "this spring, I won't come home".
