Transporting fireworks from Long An to Ho Chi Minh City
On June 16, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department announced that it was investigating the case of "transporting prohibited goods" carried out by Bui Van Sang (31 years old, residing in Vinh Hung district, Long An province).
Previously, during a patrol and control of the area, a working group from the Economic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police in coordination with the Tan Kien Commune Police, Binh Chanh District, discovered that Sang was driving a car with suspicious signs at the Hoang Khuong parking lot (Tan Kien Commune, Binh Chanh District), so they conducted an inspection.
After a quick investigation, Sang confessed that he was transporting 72 explosive fireworks weighing more than 120kg from Long An to Ho Chi Minh City to deliver to a customer. The task force drew up a report of the incident and took Bui Van Sang to the headquarters for clarification.
Based on the investigation results and collected evidence, on June 9, the City Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to initiate criminal proceedings and prosecute Bui Van Sang for the crime of "transporting prohibited goods".
The above decisions and orders have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Binh Chanh district.
Nearly 300 counterfeit, unknown-origin items worth over 2.5 billion VND were destroyed in Phu Yen.
On June 16, Phu Yen Market Management Department informed that recently at the Hazardous Waste Recycling and Treatment Factory (Cat Nhon Commune, Phu Cat District, Binh Dinh) belonging to Hau Sanh Trading and Environment Company Limited, many products of unknown origin were destroyed.
Specifically, the Phu Yen Market Management Department coordinated with the Department of Finance, Department of Industry and Trade, Phu Yen Police, Provincial People's Procuracy... to destroy 293 items of counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, not guaranteed quality, not qualified for circulation on the market... such as children's toys, perfumes, cosmetics, food (candy, milk, wine...), functional foods, fireworks and other goods with a total value of more than 2.5 billion VND.
Previously, on June 12, at the warehouse of Phu Yen Market Management Department, the Inventory Council and departments and branches conducted an inventory of all the above goods according to the list.
All types of goods inventoried and destroyed in this period were discovered, arrested and confiscated by market management forces.
The goods to be destroyed are classified by type, the council has chosen a suitable and effective form of destruction, ensuring compliance with regulations and environmental safety and hygiene. Under the supervision of council members and related units, all of the above confiscated administrative violation exhibits were destroyed in accordance with procedures and regulations.
