Editorial boards of many ISI and Scopus journals come to Vietnam to attend academic forums

On December 1 and 2, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH) organized the International Conference on Business and Finance 2025 (ICBF 2025) in a combined in-person and online format.

The forum focuses on discussing and analyzing contemporary issues and challenges in core areas such as: economics, management, finance, banking, accounting, business, commerce, law, tourism , marketing with a special emphasis on sustainable development.

Following the success of previous ICBF seasons, in 2025 the theme of sustainable development continues to be the focus of research, especially in the context of climate change, energy transition and the increase of economic and environmental risks. Research presented at ICBF 2025 focuses on urgent research directions such as: finance for energy transition; ESG (environment, society, governance) and sustainable corporate governance; the impact of digital technology , AI and FinTech in finance; the link between innovation and economic growth; along with the legal and policy framework in the green economy era. These are also the strategic research directions that UEH focuses on developing in the period 2025-2030.

Speaking at the forum, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director in charge of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, emphasized: “The event is not only a forum for knowledge exchange, but also one of the strategic academic activities in the direction of raising the level of research and international integration of UEH in the new period. In the context of the world changing strongly in the face of economic, technological and environmental fluctuations, the requirements for higher education institutions are not only limited to training high-quality human resources, but also to proactively create new knowledge through research, promote innovation and provide scientific arguments for policy making."

Notably, the international academic forum International Conference on Business and Finance 2025 organized by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City this year attracted many keynote speakers who are leading scholars with great influence in the international scientific community.

The International Academic Forum of the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City continues to organize the "Meet the Editors" session, a strategic activity to connect researchers with the editorial staff of leading academic journals in the ISI/Scopus list.

The session was attended by the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economic Development , the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Economics and Management Law , and the Deputy Editors-in-Chief of Financial Management and the Journal of Business Research ... The sessions provided valuable insights into the peer review process, international academic standards, and strategies to improve publication capacity. This is an essential opportunity for scholars, especially young researchers, to improve their methods and improve the quality of their articles towards international standards.
