This is a well-prepared force, ensuring full professional standards and showing high determination in the competition task at the Games. Based on professional assessment and training results, Vietnam strives to achieve 91 - 110 gold medals, aiming to maintain its position in the leading group in Southeast Asia. In my opinion, this is not a risky goal and the delegation can meet the expectations of fans.

The 33rd SEA Games held in Thailand, a formidable opponent of Vietnam on all fronts, is both a challenge and an opportunity for Vietnamese sports to demonstrate its strength and prospects.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed at the delegation's departure ceremony: "I believe that in their luggage, Vietnamese sports will carry the indomitable spirit, perseverance, and resilience into each match, each race, each healthy competition... so that the red flag with the yellow star will fly. Athletes, coaches, experts... have gone through a long journey of hard training. The image of "Vietnamese bamboo" is not only in diplomacy or politics, but also the image of Vietnamese sports. Sports achievements are extremely necessary, but the spirit of overcoming difficulties, overcoming injuries, overcoming temporary failures to reach the top is much more necessary and important. The SEA Games arena is always a place of training and also becomes a measure for Vietnamese sports to correctly identify themselves, thereby creating momentum to reach higher, more difficult arenas. If successful, the glory will be very great.

For a long time, we have often dreamed of world and Asian arenas, from many different sports, including football. But to make that dream come true, let's start from regional arenas like SEA Games, the steps of Vietnamese sports will have a more solid foundation, more realistic, more convincing to the public. Therefore, the Prime Minister always advises that each athlete must have a strong desire, but always be calm, humble to learn, and show themselves best through competitions, the stronger the opponent, the higher the determination to win.

Sports is a game that is both individual and collective. Nowhere does the athlete’s personality show itself as explosively as in sports.
