As the core force in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, the commune-level police force, after the merger, has been strengthened in both quantity and quality, meeting the requirements of the new situation with an expanded area, a larger population, and more complex tasks. However, the organizational restructuring has helped the commune-level police force to effectively maintain a close connection with the community, understand the people, grasp pressing issues early on, and handle many incidents as soon as they arise. With this approach, after the reorganization and merger, the commune-level police force has gradually affirmed its important role in many tasks, especially in ensuring security and order, achieving many successes.
Recently, the Mong Cai 1 Ward Police received a report from Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyen (born in 1990, residing at 173 Huu Nghi Street, Mong Cai 1 Ward) regarding a burglary at her home during the night, where two mobile phones, an iPhone 11 and an iPhone 13 Pro Max, were stolen. Upon receiving the report, the Mong Cai 1 Ward Police immediately implemented investigative measures. Within just 8 hours, the Mong Cai 1 Ward Police apprehended the suspect, Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 2007, residing in Thac Han area, Mong Cai 2 Ward). Grateful for their sense of responsibility and dedication to serving the people, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyen wrote a letter of thanks to the officers and soldiers of the Mong Cai 1 Ward Police.

With a determined spirit to keep their areas and facilities free of drugs, the police forces of communes, wards, and special zones in the province have coordinated with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to develop patrol and control plans, closely monitor the area, and detect and handle many drug-related cases.
For example, in Zone 1B, Quang Hanh Ward, the Quang Hanh Ward Police, in coordination with the Drug Crime Investigation Department's task force, inspected and discovered Truong Quoc Tuan, born in 1986, residing in Zone 1A, Quang Hanh Ward, engaging in the illegal use of narcotics. Through investigation and expansion of the case, the police force urgently arrested three more individuals involved in a drug trafficking ring: Hoang Thi Dung, born in 1981, residing in Group 9, Ngo Quyen Area, Cam Pha Ward; Hoang Van Phuong, born in 1962; and Nguyen Hai Nam, born in 1986, both residing in Quang Hanh Ward; seizing 6.75 grams of various types of narcotics along with other evidence.

In addition to ensuring security and order, the police force at the commune, ward, and special zone levels also plays a crucial role in ensuring traffic safety at the grassroots level, in communes, wards, and remote areas. Furthermore, they are the core force in disseminating legal information and building a traffic culture in the locality.
Following the reorganization and merger, despite the increased workload, larger geographical area, and greater population management, leading to more complex issues, the commune, ward, and special zone police forces in the province, with their spirit of unity, discipline, and dedication to serving the people, are determined to overcome all difficulties and hardships, ensuring the maintenance of security, social order, and traffic safety. They serve as a solid support for the people in the new situation, thereby creating an important foundation for the sustainable development of the locality.
