At the Decision Announcement Ceremony

At the ceremony, the Military Region 4 Command announced the decision of the Ministry of National Defense to merge and organize the Quang Binh Provincial Military Command and the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command into the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command; establish 21 Regional Military Command Boards (of which Hue City has 3 units: Regional Military Command Board 1 - Huong Tra; Regional Military Command Board 2 - A Luoi; Regional Military Command Board 3 - Phu Loc on the basis of 9 district-level Military Command Boards).

At the same time, the decision was announced for 5 Border Guard Commands under the Military Command of the provinces: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh , Quang Tri and Hue City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai affirmed: In response to the requirements of the new situation, the Party Central Committee has decided to continue to reorganize the political system from the central to the grassroots level in a streamlined, effective and efficient manner. This is not only an organizational arrangement but also a strategic restructuring of the regional defense posture to improve the ability to manage the area and respond to defense and security situations early, from afar, and from the grassroots level.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense requested the Party Committee, the Military Region 4 Command and Party committees and commanders at all levels to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense on reorganizing local military organizations in conjunction with building two-level local governments.

Units need to quickly stabilize their organization, staffing, clearly assign tasks, and perfect the Party organization, command organization, and mass organizations to put them into effective operation. Closely direct the handover and reception during the transfer, merger, and dissolution of organizations, military numbers, equipment, facilities, and defense assets, ensuring compliance with regulations. At the same time, review and perfect leadership and management regulations and focus on building truly clean and strong Party committees and organizations; build a contingent of cadres and soldiers capable of completing immediate and long-term tasks.

Party committees and commanders at all levels need to do a good job of ideological and policy work, create high consensus in organization and implementation; fully resolve regimes and policies in accordance with regulations, ensure publicity and transparency, and prevent negativity and complaints from arising.
