Announcing the decision to grant amnesty to prisoners.

On the morning of June 1st, Detention Center No. 1 of the Phu Tho Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce the President's decision on amnesty for 9 inmates who met the conditions and criteria for amnesty in the April 30th amnesty.

This is a humane policy, demonstrating the concern of the Party and the State for prisoners who once made mistakes, violated the law, and were sentenced to prison, but have reformed and made progress, achieved many accomplishments in labor and study, and complied well with regulations and rules.

The pardoned prisoners underwent a review process by various teams and committees, and were subsequently reviewed by pardon subcommittees from the local to the central level, before being granted amnesty by the President in 2026.

Representatives from the Provincial People's Court and leaders of Detention Center No. 1 of the Provincial Police presented the amnesty decisions to the inmates.

On this occasion, the Supervisory Board of Detention Center No. 1 also urged the 600 inmates who are continuing to serve their sentences to strive, actively work, learn a trade, and cultivate their morals so that they may soon benefit from the leniency policies of the Party and the State, and become useful citizens to society.
