This time, 9,950 prisoners nationwide were granted amnesty, including 644 who committed economic crimes and 63 foreign nationals. At Detention Center No. 1 of the Provincial Police, Nghia Giang commune, 27 prisoners received amnesty decisions signed by the President. After the announcement ceremony, the prisoners completed the procedures to return to their families and reintegrate into the community.

Amnesty is a humane and lenient policy of the Party and State towards prisoners who have shown good behavior and strictly complied with regulations during their sentence. The provincial police will coordinate with relevant levels and sectors to accurately track the number of people granted amnesty and released back to their localities in order to provide assistance with employment, production loans, and stabilizing their lives. At the same time, they will strengthen management and education to reduce recidivism and contribute to ensuring security and order.
