The 8th Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon is a flagship community sporting event of Ho Chi Minh City, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation. Techcombank is the strategic sponsor and Sunrise Events Vietnam is the organizer.
The equipment set for the 8th Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon is designed with inspiration from the vision of developing Ho Chi Minh City into a world-class megacity, and includes a drawstring bag, race shirt, finisher's shirt, and finisher's medal.

The central image on the merchandise is a combination of three symbols: Ben Thanh Market, a distinctive cultural and commercial landmark of the city; the Binh Duong Administrative Center building, symbolizing the dynamism of the new urban area; and the Vung Tau lighthouse, representing the intersection between land and sea. This idea not only celebrates the identity of each region but also reflects the spirit of unity between the three major economic centers and the aspirations of the merged city for greater heights.

This set of merchandise also serves as the first symbol of pride for those who love, live, study, and work in Ho Chi Minh City during the early days of the city's transformation. Beyond its symbolic significance, the merchandise is highly practical – it can accompany athletes in their daily training, allowing each athlete to continue becoming an ambassador spreading a healthy lifestyle, a spirit of excellence, and the pride of the city's people. This year, XTEP continues as the exclusive apparel sponsor, marking its fourth consecutive season of partnership to provide maximum comfort for competing athletes.
Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, shared: "This year's season is a unique sports and tourism highlight within the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week 2025 events, contributing to affirming the image of a dynamic, friendly, and vibrant city. The competition equipment is designed based on the city's distinctive symbols after the merger, not only showing the connection between sports and tourism, but also reflecting the sustainable and innovative development orientation in the new phase. We expect this year's season to further enhance the experience for athletes and domestic and international tourists, thereby consolidating Ho Chi Minh City's position as one of the leading tourism and sports centers in the region."
Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, emphasized: "The Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon continues to be a symbolic sporting event of the city, playing an important role in promoting sports training, improving spiritual life, and strengthening social cohesion. Besides its professional value, the tournament also carries profound cultural significance, contributing to building an active and healthy lifestyle for the people. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports expects the event to continue to be a driving force for the development of mass sports, while affirming the city's pioneering role in the sustainable development of culture, sports, and tourism."
Ms. Thai Minh Diem Tu, Director of Marketing at Techcombank, shared: "As a strategic sponsor, Techcombank is committed to a long-term and sustainable partnership with the race, constantly bringing groundbreaking initiatives to create value and contribute to elevating the race - a new symbol of the city, in line with the spirit of 'Running for a Superior Vietnam'."
Mr. Rob Zamacona, General Director of Sunrise Events Vietnam, stated: "The Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon is our way of realizing our vision of inspiring 100 million Vietnamese people. We appreciate the support of government agencies, strategic partners, and the athletic community. The organizing committee also aims for the race to achieve the prestigious World Athletics Label. In the future, we will continue to apply technology and smart data to personalize the athletes' journey, expand online and community interaction, and contribute to making Ho Chi Minh City a leading destination for sports tourism in the region."

As part of its 8th season, Techcombank, in collaboration with the Touch of Love Foundation, launched the virtual run "Run for the Future of Vietnamese Children," raising 4.2 billion VND to support surgery and rehabilitation for children with lower limb deformities, giving them the chance to walk on their own two feet. On the VRUN platform, from October 27th to November 17th, 2025, the virtual run expands participation opportunities with a new experience for the "running community" nationwide, while simultaneously raising funds to support surgery and rehabilitation for children with leg deformities.
Constantly innovating with positive initiatives and a strong ripple effect, the Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon continues to be the most prestigious and largest-scale community sporting event in Vietnam. In 2025, the race, named after the city, is expected to attract over 20,000 domestic and international athletes, continuing its mission of connecting communities, promoting tourism in Ho Chi Minh City, spreading the spirit of health and excellence, and elevating the Vietnamese marathon movement to a regional level.
Prior to the tournament, the 10th World Conference on Mass Sport (MPW25) will take place on December 4-5, 2025, with the theme "From Event to Ecosystem," bringing together international experts in sports, health, and tourism to share experiences in building a comprehensive sports ecosystem where each event becomes a driving force for community, cultural, and economic development. Immediately following the conference, the Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon will be held. Techcombank's 8th season will hold a press conference on December 5, 2025, and officially begin on December 7, 2025.
The race route continues to be certified by AIMS (International Marathon Association), ensuring results are recognized globally and expanding opportunities for athletes to participate in prestigious races such as the Boston Marathon or the London Marathon.
