Located on Hai Ba Trung Street, right in the heart of Hoi An's old town, Ba Mu Pagoda (or the triple gate of Ba Mu Pagoda) is one of the oldest historical relics, built in the 17th century under the names Cam Ha Palace and Hai Binh Palace.

This temple plays an important role in the spiritual life of the people of Hoi An in general and the Minh Huong community in particular.

Despite undergoing numerous renovations, the triple gate of Ba Mu Pagoda still retains its ancient characteristics. Unlike traditional Buddhist temples, this place worships deities from folk beliefs, mainly related to protection, childbirth, and children.

Therefore, the people of Hoi An used to simply call it "Ba Mu Pagoda," and this name has been passed down to this day.

Although most of the main structures of the pagoda have disappeared, with only the triple-arched gate preserved, this very structure has become a distinctive symbol of the site and an indispensable destination on any trip to Hoi An.

The temple gate is built of fired bricks, covered with yin-yang tiles, and features pillars intricately carved with exquisite East Asian patterns. A layer of green moss covers the roof and brick walls, creating a nostalgic beauty that evokes traces of the past amidst the bustling old town.

The area surrounding Ba Mu Pagoda is tranquil and somewhat melancholic, making every photograph taken here seem to breathe the essence of time. It attracts not only tourists but is also a familiar destination for many photographers, filmmakers, and those who love cultural heritage.

The sunlight reflecting on the lake in front of the pagoda, combined with the beautiful patterns on the triple-arched gate, will surely result in stunning photographs.

Ba Mu Pagoda is not only a beautiful photo spot but also holds immense cultural and historical value. With its unique architecture and peaceful atmosphere, it promises to provide visitors with unforgettable experiences.
