On the morning of August 12, Huong Khe District Labor Federation held the 8th District Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.

Representatives of the provincial and Huong Khe district Labor Federations and 166 delegates representing 3,116 union members in the area attended.

Huong Khe currently has 109 grassroots trade union units with 3,116 union members. There are 2,288 party members (accounting for 73.4%). In general, the employment, income, and living conditions of workers, civil servants, and laborers are relatively stable.

In recent times, trade unions at all levels have effectively implemented their role of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members. In particular, they have well organized conferences of cadres, workers, civil servants and employees; strengthened guidance and support for employees in signing labor contracts; organized dialogue activities, signed collective labor agreements, and developed and implemented policies for employees.

The rate of workers and employees participating in social insurance reached 100% (an increase of 0.8% compared to the previous term); the rate of employees having annual health check-ups reached over 70%; 100% of enterprises built salary scales and tables according to regulations; 95% of enterprises effectively implemented collective labor agreements; 100% of enterprises supported shift meal allowances for workers and employees.

The Congress voted to elect the Executive Committee of the Huong Khe District Labor Federation, term 2023 - 2028.

During the past term, from the source of the "Trade Union Social Fund" and socialization, trade unions at all levels visited and presented gifts to 2,260 union members with a total amount of 721 million VND; presented gifts to 61 union members' children infected with Agent Orange, orphans, and those with serious illnesses with a total amount of over 30 million VND; proposed the "Trade Union Social Fund" of Ha Tinh to support 55 "Trade Union Shelters" with a total amount of 1.3 billion VND...

In particular, thanks to the good implementation of emulation movements, during the term, more than 1,600 initiatives and experiences of workers, civil servants and laborers were recognized and applied in practice. There were 327 projects and works implemented with a total value of over 20 billion VND to celebrate important political events of the homeland and country.

In the 2023 - 2028 term, Huong Khe Trade Union focuses on improving the effectiveness of representation, care, and protection of the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members. Strengthening propaganda work, innovating methods of operation in the new situation.

Some key targets of Huong Khe District Trade Union for the 2023 - 2028 term:

Strive to recruit over 400 new union members. Establish 10 new grassroots unions. 100% of enterprises with 15 or more stable employees establish union organizations. Introduce over 150 outstanding union members to attend Party awareness training classes.

Supported the construction of 25 “Union Shelters”. Provided subsidies and visited over 2,500 union members in difficult circumstances.

Over 1,500 union members have had topics, initiatives and useful solutions recognized by scientific councils at all levels.

The Congress elected 15 comrades to the Executive Committee of the Huong Khe District Labor Federation for the 2023-2028 term. At the same time, a delegation of 11 comrades was elected to attend the Ha Tinh Trade Union Congress.

Mr. Vo Viet Minh Chau was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Huong Khe District Labor Federation for the 2023 - 2028 term.
