Industry thrives, exports accelerate.

In 2024, the province's export turnover is estimated at US$2 billion, an increase of 18.02% compared to the same period. Total import turnover is estimated at US$1.376 billion, an increase of 12% compared to the same period. In the first quarter of 2025, export turnover reached over US$554 million. These figures surprised many, considering they are the result of a mountainous province like Hoa Binh, which still faces many difficulties. But this is not a miracle. It is the sweet fruit of a strong restructuring journey, where the processing and manufacturing industry has grown by more than 16%, electricity production has increased by nearly 12%..., contributing to Hoa Binh province's GRDP growth rate of 8.96% in 2024 - ranking 11th nationwide; especially in the first quarter of this year, the province's economic growth reached 12.76%, ranking 2nd nationwide.

GGS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (located in the left bank of the Da River Industrial Park) has been operating stably in Hoa Binh province for many years, contributing to increasing the industrial production value of the province.

There is a thriving "lifeblood" emerging in the heart of Hoa Binh's hills: industry. No longer a secondary role, industry has now become a pillar in the growth picture. The aforementioned figures explain why the province's GRDP has seen such a spectacular leap.

The roads leading to the Luong Son and Yen Quang industrial zones are now free of red dust. Within the industrial zones, factory lights illuminate the night, conveyor belts operate tirelessly, and "Made in Hoa Binh" products are reaching the global market every day. According to Mr. Duong Quoc Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Hoa Binh has clearly defined the role of industry in its 2025 growth plan, setting a growth target of 13.58% for this sector, creating the main impetus for the province's GRDP to exceed 10%. To achieve this, the province is not only developing the infrastructure of industrial zones and clusters but also focusing on supporting businesses to improve productivity, digital transformation, and technological innovation. The increasingly prominent presence of foreign-invested enterprises, along with hundreds of domestic private enterprises, is daily elevating Hoa Binh's position on the national industrial map.
If industry is the driving force, then exports are the "gateway" for Hoa Binh's industrial products to reach high-value markets. Notably, Hoa Binh businesses have begun to enter the global supply chain, exporting to demanding markets such as the United States, the EU, Japan, and South Korea. According to Mr. Duong Quoc Thang, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, the province's goal for 2025 is to increase export turnover by 18%, a bold but entirely achievable target. It's not just about the numbers; the key is the approach. The province is innovating trade promotion, boosting e-commerce, and supporting businesses in participating in global sales platforms. Each product and local brand is now receiving more systematic attention in terms of design, standardization, and even the story to tell the world.

The rapid industrial and export growth cannot come from one side alone. Hoa Binh has been building a fairly complete "development ecosystem" with infrastructure, institutions, and human resources working in parallel. Expressways, regional connecting roads between Hoa Binh and Moc Chau, and roads connecting Hoa Binh and Hanoi are gradually removing traffic bottlenecks. In addition, the province is also aggressively reforming its administration, building a "business-friendly government" model, and considering business satisfaction as a measure of its performance.

It's impossible not to mention a quiet but effective strategy: investing in worker housing and social housing. The high-rise buildings in Hoa Binh city are now not only for urban residents, but are gradually becoming a "safe haven" for thousands of industrial workers – those who create value for Hoa Binh today and tomorrow.

Hoa Binh is becoming a new industrial growth hub in the northern mountainous region. In the course of modern times, the province has chosen its own path – one of resilience, decisiveness, and seizing opportunities. As each machine moves, each container leaves the dock, each worker presses the button on the assembly line… the dream of industrialization in Hoa Binh is no longer a matter of the future, but a reality every day. A land rich in cultural identity is now writing new chapters – chapters of green growth, sustainable exports, and the aspiration for global integration.
