In 2014, the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province implemented Decision No. 2671 dated October 1, 2014, on "Reorganizing healthcare units in Binh Xuyen district," merging three units: the District General Hospital, the District Health Center, and the Food Safety and Hygiene Center into the Binh Xuyen District Health Center. On May 31, 2018, the District Population Center was further merged into the District Health Center. This resulted in a stable organizational structure, steady development of healthcare services, improved quality of medical examination and treatment, and established the district as a reliable healthcare facility for the people.
The Binh Xuyen District Health Center has always received attention from the Department of Health and local authorities, who have invested in upgrading facilities, purchasing equipment, and continuously increasing the number of hospital beds. The center has recently been newly built with a spacious building, modern facilities and equipment, and a large, airy space with a capacity of 150 beds. It has a team of 146 medical staff with good professional skills and enthusiasm, meeting the healthcare needs of the people in the district and surrounding areas. Currently, the Health Center has mastered specialized techniques, developed many techniques at the local and higher levels, and improved the quality of medical examination, treatment, and disease prevention.
Contributing to the overall achievements of the Health sector in Binh Xuyen district, population work has made significant progress in both quality and quantity, with the birth rate remaining stable at 1.25%, ensuring a labor force for socio-economic development.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the entire staff and employees, the Population Department of the Binh Xuyen District Health Center has been recognized and awarded emulation flags, certificates of merit, and commendations by various levels and sectors for many consecutive years. Population and family planning work over the past 10 years has proven to be one of the factors contributing to improving the quality of life for each family and society as a whole.
