In recent years, Binh Phuoc province has always focused on investing in upgrading, expanding and building new transport infrastructure from urban to rural areas to create transport connections, attract investment and promote socio-economic development. However, some projects are still behind schedule in construction, and even after many years of implementation, they have not been put into use. One of them is the hundreds of billions VND transport project in the mountainous district of Bu Gia Map.
In July 2021, the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province invested 150 billion VND in the project to upgrade and expand DT.760 road from DT.741 intersection to Dak O bridge (route 1) and Duc Hanh - Phu Van inter-commune road from DT.741 to International intersection, Phu Van commune (route 2).
The total length of the two routes of the project is more than 29 km, and the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province assigned the Bu Gia Map District Project Management Board as the investor. The project was started at the same time and is expected to be completed and put into use in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Of which, route 1 is more than 19 km long and is divided into 4 packages: package 1 from Km0+00 - Km4+500; package 2 from Km4+500 - Km9+250; package 3 from Km9+250 - Km14+100 and package 4 from Km14+100 - the end of the route (reaching Dak O bridge).
Up to now, 3 out of 4 packages have been completed and handed over for use. Package 4 alone is still at a standstill, causing the entire project to not be completed synchronously, making it difficult for people to travel, and the risk of wasting the budget is very high.
According to the documents, the winning bidder for the construction of package No. 4 with a total value of nearly 30 billion VND is a consortium of 3 contractors including: Phuoc Ha LLC, Dai Phat Bridge and Road Construction LLC and Dai Luc LLC (Dai Luc Company).
It is worth mentioning that in this package, the construction of 1.2 km (the end of the route, adjacent to Dak O bridge) by Dai Luc Company alone is delayed. This is also the only part of the entire project that is unfinished and has been stalled for many months now.
Speaking with reporters from Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper, a representative of Dai Luc Company said that the enterprise has completed more than 80% of the construction volume.
Although the contractor has made great efforts and wants to complete the project soon for handover, the project has not been completed due to some unresolved difficulties.
“The 1.2 km long road that the Company is constructing has encountered obstacles with about 20 square meters of land remaining within the road safety corridor, but a local individual has not agreed to hand it over. We are still waiting for support from the local government,” the Company representative shared.
According to the representative of Dai Luc Company, the enterprise has requested local authorities and functional agencies to promptly resolve the issue to have a site to complete the project.
On the afternoon of October 25, talking to reporters about the problem of site clearance for package No. 4, Mr. Huynh The Yen, Director of the Project Management Board of Bu Gia Map district (the investor's representative unit) said that he did not yet fully understand the problem, did not know exactly which project, how specific the problem was, and would find out and inform reporters later.
