Speaking to Phu Yen Newspaper, Ms. Pham Thi Minh Hien, Deputy Director of the Phu Yen Department of Health, said:
- The 2025 Action Month for Children will take place from June 1st to 30th, with the theme: "Prioritizing resources to achieve goals for children." This is a strong call to all levels, sectors, organizations, and individuals to join hands in dedicating the most practical care and attention to children - the future generation of the country.
The Month of Action for Children is also an opportunity for the community to demonstrate its responsibility and love for children, joining hands with the Party and local authorities at all levels to create a strong transformation in awareness, action, and enhance social responsibility in child-related work. It is also an opportunity for each of us to pay more attention to and prioritize children, so that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have the opportunity to go to school and access quality education . From the lowlands to the highlands and even on remote islands, children should have access to social services, benefit from social welfare policies, and enjoy recreation in the safest, friendliest, and healthiest environment. Let's all work together to combat the problems that negatively affect children.

* Could you please tell us about the results of the implementation of child protection, care, and education programs in our province over the past period?
- With the perspective of dedicating the best to children, Phu Yen has implemented many solutions to promote the care, education, and protection of children; prioritizing resources to nurture the young generation of the homeland and the country.
Many activities for children have been widely implemented by departments, agencies, and localities, such as: organizing the Month of Action for Children, Children's Forums, and Mid-Autumn Festival; ensuring a safe living environment, preventing accidents, injuries, drowning, abuse, and violence against children; visiting, giving gifts, and commending poor children and children with special circumstances who are exemplary in overcoming difficulties and striving for success in their studies; and commending exemplary collectives and individuals who have dedicated themselves to the care, education, and protection of children. At the same time, the system of child protection in the community is maintained in communes, wards, and towns; and the child protection committees at the commune, ward, and town levels and the team of child protection collaborators in villages, hamlets, and neighborhoods are strengthened and improved.
The Month of Action for Children is not just a media campaign, but also an opportunity for the whole society to show its deep concern for the future generation. This is a concrete action to contribute to building a prosperous and happy country – where every child can live, study, and develop in a safe and loving environment.
All levels, sectors, and localities must fully and promptly implement the State's policies and regulations for social welfare beneficiaries, creating conditions for them to access information and communication, legal assistance, participate in cultural and sports activities, etc., creating a healthy environment, and helping children integrate into community life...
In addition, through the Children's Protection Fund, many activities such as heart surgery, orthopedic surgery for children with motor disabilities, scholarships, bicycles, school supplies, and milk for children in special circumstances have reached more than 2,800 children throughout the province.
* This year, during the Month of Action for Children, what activities does the Department of Health plan to implement to ensure children live in a safer environment, Madam?
- To ensure that all children receive their full rights, the Health Department advises the Provincial People's Committee to continue implementing and organizing activities to raise awareness among the public, all levels of government, and society as a whole about the care, nurturing, and protection of children. Accordingly, during the Month of Action for Children, departments and agencies will coordinate to implement activities such as: Visiting and giving gifts to disadvantaged children being cared for and nurtured in social welfare facilities and localities; organizing propaganda on child protection and care, prevention of accidents, injuries, and child abuse... through various media channels; direct communication in schools and communities; and visual propaganda on main roads... about the Month of Action for Children.
The Month of Action for Children is not just a media campaign, but also an opportunity for the whole society to show its deep concern for the future generation. This is a concrete action to contribute to building a prosperous and happy country – where every child can live, study, and develop in a safe and loving environment.
Thank you, ma'am!
