In order to contribute to ensuring social security, in recent times, together with the Party committees and local authorities, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Branch of the Social Policy Bank has effectively coordinated and implemented loan programs, helping poor households and policy beneficiaries to easily access preferential credit sources, develop their economy , increase their income, and improve their living standards.
Previously, Mr. Truong Van Thang's family was one of the poor households in Trau village, Hoang Dan commune, Tam Duong district. Having access to preferential loans for poor households from the Social Policy Bank, Mr. Thang's family invested in breeding cattle, combined with raising pigs and chickens. Thanks to their hard work, the family's cows produce a litter each year. With a stable income, Mr. Thang's family has escaped poverty, and their economic situation has improved significantly.
Through the implemented loan programs, as of March 31st, the Tam Duong District Branch of the Social Policy Bank has disbursed preferential loans to over 10,000 households, with a total outstanding loan balance of over 550 billion VND. This includes over 243 billion VND for job creation loans; over 175 billion VND for clean water and sanitation loans; 38 billion VND for newly lifted-out-of-poverty households; 24 billion VND for near-poor households; nearly 21 billion VND for social housing loans; over 13 billion VND for poor households; and other loan programs.
Along with accelerating the disbursement of preferential credit funds to the people, the Tam Duong District Branch of the Social Policy Bank also strengthens the management of loan capital, promotes loan disbursement to households for production development; guides borrowers to use capital for the right purpose and effectively to help the poor and other policy beneficiaries develop their economy, stabilize their lives and rise out of poverty sustainably; contributing to ensuring social security and improving the material and spiritual lives of the people.
