In the middle of the green grassland, a black horse with a graceful figure and smooth fur leisurely grazes. The horse is carefully trained and cared for by Mr. Guh - a member of Chu Dang Ya Tourism and Agriculture Cooperative.
He is not only a horse rider, but also a “guide” who takes visitors through flower gardens, purple reed fields, and through grasslands rustling with mountain breezes. Occasionally, he gently signals the black horse to pose, helping visitors have beautiful horseback riding photos as if they were nomads in the steppe.

Mr. Guh said that taking care of horses is not difficult but it is necessary to understand the habits of this animal. In addition to feeding the horse grass, rice and bathing it every day, he often caresses, caresses and even talks to it. “Horses are very intelligent and loyal. If you take care of them and treat them like friends, they will understand and listen. When a stranger sits on their back, as long as I am by their side, the horse will be obedient,” Mr. Guh shared.
Last year, many visitors to the Chu Dang Ya Volcano Wild Sunflower Festival visited the cooperative to experience the service. Among them, the horse riding service around the flower garden and grasslands was very popular.
The atmosphere here evokes the feeling of living a nomadic life: leisurely on horseback, watching the majestic and romantic mountains, breathing in the fresh breeze with the scent of red soil and herbs. When the sun sets, the reed fields glow in the afternoon sun, each horse's hooves seem to slow down so that visitors can fully enjoy the beautiful moment at the end of the day.

In addition to horse riding, there are also flower garden tours, traditional costume rentals, and accessories such as baskets, hats, umbrellas, etc. for visitors to transform into locals and capture memorable moments.
Although there is no homestay yet, the cooperative rents out tents overnight for those who want to sleep under the stars and watch the sunrise at the crater. Early in the morning, from the tent door, visitors can sip coffee or a cup of hot tea, admire the beauty of one of the beautiful volcanoes, and let the morning mist and clouds entwine.
Mr. Tran Nguyen Huy Son Duong, Director of Chu Dang Ya Tourism and Agriculture Cooperative, said: This destination is 3.3 hectares wide, located between two mountain ranges, one side is Chu Nam, the other side is Chu Dang Ya, surrounded by Jrai villages with rich indigenous cultural flavor. With that natural terrain, the cooperative is planned in harmony with the natural landscape, absolutely no concretization.

The current services are still quite new, having been tested during the 2024 Chu Dang Ya Volcano and Wild Sunflower Festival and the traditional New Year, then temporarily suspended to complete the infrastructure. “We want each experience to be associated with nature and local identity, so that visitors can stay longer and truly live in the fresh air of the plateau. We are planting more flowers, opening beverage and coffee stalls to welcome the peak tourist season,” said Mr. Duong.
Chu Dang Ya is not only a famous scenic spot associated with the wild sunflower festival, but also a part of the life of the Jrai people. They live together at the foot of the mountain, cultivate and are attached to this land for many generations. It is the harmony between majestic nature and a liberal lifestyle that creates a unique attraction, making anyone who has set foot here want to return.

Although there is still a gap in accommodation services, the appearance of Chu Dang Ya Tourism and Agriculture Cooperative has opened up opportunities to keep tourists staying longer in this land. Visitors from far away can transform into locals, try living a different life: horseback riding, mountain climbing, sleeping in tents... Each experience is imbued with the spirit of freedom, so that when leaving, everyone carries with them the echoes of wind, grass and the sound of horse hooves echoing forever in the highlands.
