The 2024 Art Kite Festival is expected to take place at the end of November 2024, with nearly 70 kites.


On October 29, according to information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, this unit has just issued a plan to organize the 2024 Art Kite Festival.

The artistic kite flying festival is scheduled to be held in Song Doc town (Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province) from November 22. (Illustration photo: Thanh Duy).

According to the plan, the festival is scheduled to be held on November 22, in Song Doc town, Tran Van Thoi district, Ca Mau province. Participants include artistic kite flying teams from provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region.

The organizing committee provided 13 kites with logos of 13 provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta for the participating teams. The remaining kites (about 50) were of various designs and sizes.

The kite flying performance starts at 8am and ends at 6pm on November 22. The teams will participate in artistic kite flying throughout the festival.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, the organization of the 2024 Art Kite Festival aims to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people, promote unique cultural identity, diversify cultural, sports and tourism events and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Northward Rally (1954 - 2024).
