Quang Nam: Opening of the National Family Badminton and Table Tennis Championship

19 provincial and municipal units nationwide with more than 268 athletes will compete for 43 sets of medals at the 2025 National Family Badminton and Table Tennis Championship.

On the morning of June 24, the 2025 National Family Badminton and Table Tennis Championship officially opened at the Quang Nam Provincial Sports Gymnasium.

The tournament was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam in coordination with the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department and is one of the activities of the Cultural, Sports and Tourism Days - Quang Nam 2025 with the theme "Green Heritage Area".

The tournament had more than 268 athletes from 19 provinces and cities nationwide.

The tournament has 19 provincial and municipal units nationwide with more than 268 athletes competing in 2 events.

Athletes will compete in 5 events, according to age groups.

In badminton, athletes will compete for 22 sets of medals, competing in 5 events including: Husband and wife pairs; Father and son pairs; Father and daughter pairs; Mother and son pairs; Mother and daughter pairs in the 6-year-old group.

Table tennis competes for 22 sets of medals, competing in 5 similar events, according to 5 age groups.

Athletes will compete in 2 sports: table tennis and badminton.

Through this tournament, the Organizing Committee hopes to convey the message of stimulating tourism development and promoting sports activities in the province.

At the same time, we hope to create solidarity and healthy sports competitions to encourage the spirit of regular sports practice and participation in competitions of sports families nationwide, as well as in the province, contributing to promoting and improving the effectiveness and quality of activities of the grassroots sports movement.

The tournament will take place until June 28 and close at Quang Nam Provincial Sports Stadium.

Quang Nam province also hopes to introduce to the delegations participating in the tournament the opportunity to visit, experience, explore famous landscapes, learn more about the historical and cultural traditions, potential and socio-economic achievements of Quang Nam.
