In a recent meeting with fans, Mr. Vu Tien Thanh announced a comprehensive plan to prepare for the new season, from recruiting foreign players, upgrading facilities, to building a solid youth training foundation.

The Mountain City team learned from the shortage of players last season. Due to financial constraints, the club did not pursue expensive deals but focused on players who were suitable in terms of skill and spirit.

Typically, two Brazilian foreign players were carefully selected from prestigious training centers such as Botafogo and Corinthians. In addition, the team will have a series of friendly matches with Libolo Club (Angola) on June 29, participate in tournaments such as the Thien Long Cup and train in Thailand in July and August to test the force, preparing for the new season.

Not only building the squad before the season, Mr. Thanh emphasized HAGL's sustainable development philosophy: "We do not follow the trend of naturalization or short-term deals. The club aims to train internal forces, focusing on physical training, tactical thinking and winning culture."

A major highlight in the club’s strategy is investing in youth training academies. To date, HAGL is nurturing 142 young players at many levels. Talents such as Tran Trung Kien, Ly Duc, Dinh Quang Kiet and Tran Gia Bao are proof of the effectiveness of the long-term training process.

Mr. Thanh also emphasized the application of science in training, from measuring physical strength through GPS vests, using electronic training programs to training according to modern curriculums, similar to leading European academies. “A midfielder who wants to play here must be able to run more than 11 km per match. We evaluate players based on data, not just feelings,” he affirmed.

Regarding infrastructure, the team is replacing all the turf of the training and competition fields, investing in additional sports medicine rooms, tactical screening rooms and aiming to reach AFC 3-star academy standards in the near future.

Responding to fans about the new season's goals, Mr. Thanh confidently stated that HAGL is no longer a "relegation" team as many people mistakenly believe. "We have never been below 10th place, and currently have a young, quality squad with good depth. If we could go from 2 points to 32 points last season, then next season we will do even better," he said.

Closing the sharing session, Mr. Vu Tien Thanh expressed his belief: “HAGL is a team of aspirations, a place to nurture a new generation - not only good at technique but also strong in body and mind. We are not afraid to do things differently, as long as it is good for Vietnamese football”.
