Many consumers are willing to pay a higher price for products and services that meet green production standards and convey a sustainability message, viewing this as a benchmark for high-quality products.

Focus on "eating clean, living healthy"

Eating clean and living healthy is not just a trend, but has become the "golden key" to everyone's health. This lifestyle is not about forcing oneself to follow strict diets, but rather a lifestyle of awareness and a subtle combination of nutrition and flavor. Consumers value sustainability, green, clean, and healthy practices, and there have been many changes in their consumption and eating habits. This trend is towards increasing the use of clean agricultural products and food for the health of themselves and their families.

According to a survey published in March 2025 by the Vietnam High-Quality Goods Business Association, current consumer behavior and trends show that consumers increasingly prioritize safe, health-assured, and environmentally friendly products. The Vietnamese consumer goods market continues its trend of developing in depth. Consumers not only value basic factors such as perceived quality and durability but also care about products that are good for their health. Customers are more concerned about product origin, source, and expiration date before deciding to purchase an item, driven by the need for health, nutrition, and safety assurance.

The trend of choosing "green" and "clean" products that are environmentally friendly or meet quality standard certifications has become a top priority for consumers.

Ms. Le Nha Khuyen, owner of CoCoBo Eatclean, Healthy & Smoothie store (Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai province), shared: "The current trend of consuming products beneficial to health is chosen by many people. A clean eating, healthy living lifestyle helps many people balance life's pressures, while also bringing spiritual value, a feeling of joy and relaxation during meals, and better emotional control."

Currently, the menu for green, clean, and healthy products is quite diverse, including: organic brown rice, vegetable rice, pan-fried chicken breast with olive oil and Booth avocado, chicken rice with cashews, organic pasta salad, mixed fruit salads, detox drinks, organic yogurt, etc.

Ms. Thanh Giang (residing in Tam Hiep ward, Dong Nai province) stated: She regularly uses food products that follow the green, clean, and healthy trend, ensuring the necessary nutritional values to help control weight and improve health. Currently, in large cities, many stores and restaurants sell "healthy" foods with diverse menus and price ranges, giving consumers many choices.

Focus on nutritionally balanced products.

A well-balanced diet not only promotes good health but also maintains stable energy levels and improves sleep quality. This diet minimizes the use of spices, oils, preservatives, additives, and flavorings, while emphasizing the balance of nutrients in each meal.

In addition, many manufacturing businesses have paid more attention to product trends that are not only delicious and diverse to suit consumer tastes, but also ensure nutritional requirements and meet the growing demand for green and sustainable consumption.

In order for the trend of using and consuming clean agricultural products to develop, towards a healthy community, it requires the awareness of businesses and producers to change and improve through the application of scientific and technical advances, production processes to ensure food hygiene and safety, meet the requirements and standards of management agencies, especially the needs of customers.

The trend towards green, clean, and healthy food prioritizes whole, unprocessed foods, minimizing processed foods, refined sugar, and unhealthy fats. Meals incorporating these products are typically a harmonious and scientifically calculated combination of native fruits and healthy nuts, grains, and provide all the necessary nutrients such as protein, healthy fats, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Ms. Tran Mac Van Anh, Director of Medifood.IO Co., Ltd. (Nha Bich commune, Dong Nai province), shared: “The company is developing a line of nutritious rice crisp bars that meet OCOP (One Commune One Product) 4-star standards with 5 different flavors. The products focus more on nutrition with natural ingredients that are widely known. Importantly, these are not just simple snacks, but rather nutritious snacks that meet specific nutritional requirements and standards.”

"In recent years, consumer preferences have increasingly focused on and embraced health-beneficial products, products that ensure a balanced nutritional value in their ingredients and materials," commented Ms. Tran Mac Van Anh.
