Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway Project: Preparing to start construction of additional and additional items

Thang Long Project Management Board (Ministry of Construction) has sent a notice to the People's Committees and Departments of Construction of Dong Nai and Binh Thuan provinces about the commencement of construction of project items and construction works.

Accordingly, the Thang Long Project Management Board said that the unit is preparing to start construction of package 6-XL, constructing additional items, the section through Binh Thuan and Dong Nai provinces under the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay section construction investment component project under the Project to build some expressway sections on the North - South Eastern route in the period 2017-2020.

Specifically, the 6-XL package will include the main items of construction of a number of residential access roads according to the recommendations of localities with a total length of nearly 28km, including more than 13km in Binh Thuan province and more than 14km in Dong Nai province to ensure smooth traffic and minimize the separation of residential communities on both sides of the route. In terms of scale, the normal sections are built according to the scale of grade B rural roads; some connecting sections of cross-roads and bridgehead roads are built with the scale of grade IV and V plain roads, in accordance with the scale of the current road.

Along with that, the package also builds the Ba River bridge in Binh Thuan province, drainage works, protection and traffic safety systems, and a U-turn road on the route.

According to the Thang Long Project Management Board, the package is expected to start construction on June 26, with a construction period of 240 days.
